Setup
1. Battery Installation
The safe requires 4 AA alkaline batteries for the electronic lock to function. The battery compartment is typically located on the inside of the safe door.
- Open the safe using the emergency key (refer to "Using the Emergency Key" if needed).
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the inside of the door.
- Remove the cover and insert the 4 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Replace the battery compartment cover.
- Test the electronic lock by entering the default code (usually 0000 or 1234, check the label inside the safe or manual for specifics) and turning the knob.
2. Initial Code Setting
It is crucial to set your personal code immediately after battery installation.
- With the safe door open, press the red or green reset button located on the inside of the door, near the hinge or battery compartment. A beep will sound, and the yellow indicator light will illuminate.
- Within 5 seconds, enter your desired 4 to 8 digit code on the keypad.
- Confirm the code by pressing the "A" or "#" button (depending on model, refer to keypad markings). A confirmation beep will sound.
- Important: Test the new code with the door open first. Enter your new code, press "A" or "#", and turn the knob. The bolts should retract.
3. Mounting Instructions
For enhanced security, it is highly recommended to mount the safe to a solid surface.

- The safe features pre-drilled mounting holes in both the base and the back panel.
- Choose a suitable location, such as inside a closet or cabinet, where the safe can be securely fastened to a wall stud or concrete floor.
- Position the safe and mark the drilling points through the pre-drilled holes.
- Drill pilot holes using an appropriate drill bit for your wall or floor material.
- Insert the provided anchors (if applicable) into the drilled holes.
- Align the safe with the holes and secure it using the provided mounting bolts. Tighten firmly.
Operating the Safe
1. Opening with Electronic Code
- Enter your 4 to 8 digit personal code on the keypad.
- Press the "A" or "#" button. The green indicator light will illuminate, and you will hear a beep.
- Within 5 seconds, turn the knob clockwise to open the safe door.
2. Closing the Safe
Close the door and turn the knob counter-clockwise until the bolts are fully extended and the door is securely locked.
3. Changing the User Code
You can change your personal code at any time while the door is open.
- Open the safe door.
- Press the red or green reset button on the inside of the door. The yellow indicator light will illuminate.
- Enter your new 4 to 8 digit code.
- Press the "A" or "#" button to confirm.
- Test the new code with the door open before closing the safe.
4. Using the Emergency Key
The emergency key provides access in case of forgotten code or depleted batteries.

- Locate the keyhole cover on the electronic keypad panel.
- Carefully remove the cover.
- Insert the emergency key into the keyhole and turn it clockwise.
- While holding the key turned, turn the main knob clockwise to open the safe.
- Once open, you can replace the batteries or reset the code. Remember to remove the emergency key and replace the keyhole cover after use.
5. Low Battery Indicator
When the batteries are low, the red indicator light on the keypad will illuminate or flash after entering your code, or the safe may emit a series of warning beeps. Replace all 4 AA batteries immediately to ensure proper function.
Maintenance
- Battery Replacement: Replace all 4 AA alkaline batteries annually, or immediately when the low battery indicator activates. Using high-quality alkaline batteries is recommended.
- Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the safe with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish or electronic components.
- Lock Mechanism: The electronic lock and bolt mechanism are designed for maintenance-free operation. Do not attempt to lubricate or disassemble these components.
