3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Opening the Electronic Box

To open the safe using the electronic lock:

1. Enter your 4 to 8 digit personal code on the keypad.
2. If the code is correct, a green indicator light will illuminate, and you will hear a confirmation sound.
3. Within 5 seconds, turn the knob clockwise to open the door.

Note: If an incorrect code is entered 3 times consecutively, the system will temporarily lock out, preventing further attempts for a short period to enhance security.

3.2 Closing the Electronic Box

To close the safe:

1. Close the door firmly.
2. Turn the knob counter-clockwise until it clicks into the locked position. The steel studs will engage.

3.3 Changing Your Personal Code

It is recommended to change your code periodically for enhanced security. The safe supports one user code.

1. With the door open, locate the red reset button on the inside of the door, near the hinge or battery compartment.
2. Press the reset button. A yellow indicator light will illuminate, indicating the safe is ready to accept a new code.
3. Enter your new 4 to 8 digit code on the keypad.
4. Press the 'A' or 'B' button (or '#' or '*' depending on model, refer to keypad markings) to confirm the new code. A confirmation sound will indicate success.
5. Test the new code with the door open before closing it to ensure it has been set correctly.

3.4 Emergency Opening with Key

In case of forgotten code, depleted batteries, or electronic keypad malfunction, you can use the emergency key to open the safe.

1. Locate the emergency keyhole, usually concealed behind a small cover on the keypad panel.
2. Remove the cover.
3. Insert the emergency key and turn it counter-clockwise while simultaneously turning the knob clockwise to open the door.
