Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the deposit box and all accessories from its packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport if needed.
- Key Identification: Locate the two keys provided with your deposit box. These keys are unique to your lock. Store one key in a safe, separate location as a spare.
- Initial Opening: Insert one of the keys into the cylinder lock on the front of the box. Turn the key clockwise to unlock the box. Lift the lid to open.
- Tray Placement: The C9235 model includes a removable tray. Place this tray inside the box for organizing contents. The tray can be easily lifted out to access the main compartment below.
Operating Instructions
Opening the Deposit Box
- Insert the key into the lock.
- Turn the key clockwise until the lock mechanism disengages.
- Lift the lid of the deposit box.
Closing and Locking the Deposit Box
- Ensure the lid is fully closed and aligned with the base.
- Insert the key into the lock (if not already there).
- Turn the key counter-clockwise until it clicks into the locked position.
- Remove the key and store it in a secure location. Always verify the box is securely locked by attempting to lift the lid without the key.
Using the Removable Tray
The removable tray is designed for organizing smaller items such as coins, paper clips, or keys. Larger items like bills or documents can be stored in the main compartment underneath the tray.
- To access the main compartment, simply lift the tray by its edges.
- To replace the tray, carefully lower it back into the box, ensuring it sits flush.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the deposit box with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the enamel finish.
- Lock Care: Periodically, apply a small amount of graphite powder or a silicone-based lubricant to the keyhole to ensure smooth operation of the lock mechanism. Do not use oil-based lubricants as they can attract dust.
- Storage: When not in use, store the deposit box in a dry environment to prevent rust or corrosion.
