Setup

Placement

The VONYX SPJ-800A can be placed on a flat surface, mounted on a tripod, or installed on a wall/ceiling using appropriate mounting hardware (not included).

Connecting Power

  1. Ensure the POWER switch on the speaker is in the OFF position.
  2. Connect the supplied power cable to the POWER Input on the rear panel.
  3. Plug the other end of the power cable into a suitable mains outlet (230V~50Hz).

Connecting Audio Sources

  1. For line-level devices (mixers, media players), connect an XLR or RCA cable from your source to the corresponding LINE IN port on the speaker.
  2. For microphones, connect a 6.3mm jack cable from your microphone to the MIC IN port.
  3. To connect multiple speakers, use an XLR cable from the LINE OUT of the first speaker to the LINE IN of the next speaker.

Operating Instructions

  1. Before powering on, ensure all volume knobs (LINE LEVEL, MIC LEVEL) are set to their minimum position.
  2. Switch the POWER button to the ON position. The power indicator light should illuminate.
  3. Start playing audio from your connected source.
  4. Slowly increase the LINE LEVEL knob to achieve the desired volume for your line input.
  5. If using a microphone, slowly increase the MIC LEVEL knob to adjust microphone volume.
  6. Use the BASS and TREBLE knobs to adjust the sound equalization to your preference.
  7. To turn off the speaker, first reduce all volume levels, then switch the POWER button to the OFF position.
