ADJ SWEEPER BEAM QUAD LED

ADJ Sweeper Beam Quad LED Instruction Manual

Model: SWEEPER BEAM QUAD LED (SWE199)

1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe and efficient operation of your ADJ Sweeper Beam Quad LED fixture. The Sweeper Beam Quad LED is a professional stage lighting unit designed to produce dynamic lighting effects. It features eight powerful RGBW LEDs that create sweeping beams, pulse, and strobe effects with 270 degrees of tilt. This unit supports various operational modes including stand-alone, sound active, and DMX control.

2. Safety Instructions

  • Always connect the fixture to a grounded circuit.
  • Ensure all connections are secure before operation.
  • Do not operate the fixture if the power cord is damaged.
  • Avoid direct eye exposure to the light source.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation around the fixture to prevent overheating.
  • Disconnect from power before performing any maintenance or cleaning.
  • This product is for professional use. Installation should be performed by qualified personnel.

3. Setup

3.1 Unpacking

Carefully unpack the fixture and inspect it for any damage during shipping. If any damage is found, contact your dealer immediately.

3.2 Mounting

The Sweeper Beam Quad LED includes mounting brackets for secure installation. Always use a safety hook on the rear panel as an additional safety measure when suspending the unit. Ensure the mounting surface can support the weight of the fixture.

3.3 Power Connection

Connect the fixture to a compatible power source using the provided IEC power cable. The unit supports daisy-chaining for power, allowing up to 4 units at 120V or 7 units at 230V to be connected from a single power outlet.

4. Operating Modes

The Sweeper Beam Quad LED offers multiple operational modes to suit various lighting requirements.

4.1 Stand-Alone Mode

In stand-alone mode, the fixture operates using its built-in programs. Use the 4-button DMX LED display on the unit to select desired pre-programmed sequences and effects.

4.2 Sound Active Mode

The sound active mode allows the fixture to react to music and audio input. The internal microphone detects sound, and the light effects will pulse and change in sync with the beat. Adjust sensitivity via the control panel if available.

4.3 DMX Control Mode

For advanced control, connect the fixture to a DMX controller using a wired digital network. The unit supports 1, 6, 35, or 39 DMX channels, providing comprehensive control over individual LEDs, tilt, dimming (0-100%), pulse, and strobe effects. Refer to the DMX channel chart (typically found in a separate DMX manual or on the manufacturer's website) for specific channel functions.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

To maintain optimal light output and extend the lifespan of your fixture, regularly clean the lenses and exterior casing. Use a soft, lint-free cloth and a mild glass cleaner. Ensure the fixture is disconnected from power before cleaning.

5.2 LED Lifespan

The LEDs in this fixture are rated for approximately 50,000 hours of use. Due to the low heat output of LED technology, there is no need for duty cycles, allowing for continuous operation.

6. Troubleshooting

  • No Power: Check the power cable connection at both the fixture and the power outlet. Ensure the outlet is active.
  • No Light Output: Verify the fixture is receiving power. Check the selected operating mode (e.g., ensure DMX signal is present if in DMX mode).
  • Fixture Not Responding to DMX: Confirm DMX cable connections are secure. Check DMX address settings on the fixture and controller. Ensure the DMX controller is sending a signal.
  • Abnormal Movement/Stuck Beam: Disconnect power, wait a few moments, then reconnect. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
