Maintenance

1. Cleaning

To maintain optical clarity, clean the lenses regularly.

  • Use a soft, lint-free cloth (such as a microfiber cloth) to gently wipe the lens surfaces.
  • For stubborn smudges, a small amount of lens cleaning solution can be applied to the cloth, not directly to the lens.
  • Avoid using abrasive cleaners or paper towels, as these can scratch the lenses.

2. Battery Replacement

When the LED lights dim or stop working, it is time to replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps outlined in the Setup section.

3. Storage

Store the magnifier in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Keep the lenses protected from dust and scratches when not in use.

Troubleshooting

  • LED lights do not turn on:
    • Check if the batteries are installed correctly with the correct polarity.
    • Replace the batteries with new AAA batteries.
    • Ensure the power switch is fully in the 'ON' position.
  • Difficulty achieving clear focus:
    • Adjust the distance between your eyes and the object being viewed.
    • Try a different magnification lens that is more suitable for the task.
    • Ensure the lenses are clean and free from smudges or dust.
  • Magnifier feels uncomfortable:
    • Adjust the nose pads for a better fit.
    • If using glasses arms, consider switching to the adjustable headband for a more secure and balanced fit, especially during prolonged use.
