Setup

  1. Preparation: Ensure the system you are working on is depressurized or properly isolated before connecting the injector.
  2. Filling the Injector: Unscrew the top cap of the injector body. Carefully pour the desired amount of dye or oil into the 2-ounce capacity chamber. Do not overfill. Securely re-attach the top cap.
  3. Connecting Hoses:
    • For R-134a systems, connect the included R-134a hose/coupler to the injector's outlet.
    • For R-12 systems, attach the R-12 adapter/purge fitting to the injector's outlet, then connect your R-12 hose.
  4. System Connection: Connect the appropriate hose/coupler assembly to the low-side service port of the vehicle's A/C system.

Operating Instructions

  1. Purging Air: Before injecting, slightly open the purge fitting (if applicable) or briefly depress the Schrader valve on the coupler to purge any air from the injector and hose. Close the purge fitting.
  2. Injection Process: With the injector connected to the system's low-side service port, slowly open the valve on the injector. The system's vacuum or pressure will draw the dye or oil into the system.
  3. Monitoring: Observe the flow of dye/oil. Once the chamber is empty or the desired amount has been injected, close the injector valve.
  4. Disconnection: Disconnect the injector from the service port. Ensure all valves are closed before storing.

Note: For optimal results, follow the specific dye or oil manufacturer's instructions regarding quantity and application methods.
