- Battery failure supervision relay.
- Selectable 2.2KΩ End-of-Line (EOL) resistor for AC failure and battery failure supervision relays via DIP switch.
- Selectable delay timer (5 sec., 5 min., 5 hours) for AC failure supervision relay via DIP switch.
- Field selectable for 12VDC or 24VDC output.
- Operating voltage input 110~240 VAC.
- Adjustable voltage range (11~15 VDC, 23~26 VDC) to compensate for voltage drop.
4. Setup and Installation
The EAP-5D5Q power supply is designed for easy installation within its heavy-duty steel enclosure. Ensure all installations are performed by qualified personnel and adhere to local electrical codes.
- Mounting: Select an indoor location that is dry and protected from moisture. Securely mount the enclosure to a wall or suitable surface.
- Access: The removable steel cover allows for easy access to the internal components for wiring and configuration.
- Power Input: Connect the 110~240 VAC power input to the designated terminals. The unit includes a 6-foot power cord.
- DC Output Configuration: The unit offers 5 outputs. Select the desired output voltage (12VDC or 24VDC) via the internal DIP switch. Adjust the voltage range (11~15 VDC for 12VDC setting, 23~26 VDC for 24VDC setting) using the VR switch to compensate for voltage drop.
- Backup Battery Connection: If using backup batteries (not included), connect them using the provided battery leads. The enclosure has enough room for two 7AH batteries.
- Supervision Relays: Configure the AC failure and battery failure supervision relays as needed. Select the 2.2KΩ End-of-Line (EOL) resistor via DIP switch if required. Set the AC-Fail relay delay timer (5 sec, 5 min, or 5 hr) via DIP switch.
- Access Control Device Connections: Connect your electronic locks and other access control accessories to the appropriate DC output terminals.

5. Operating Instructions
Once properly installed and configured, the EAP-5D5Q operates automatically to provide stable power to your access control system.
- Power On: After connecting the AC input, the unit will power on.
- LED Indicators:
- Green LED: Indicates AC input status.
- Red LED: Indicates DC output status.
- Flashing Red LED: Signals an output overload or short-circuit condition.
- Backup Battery Operation: In the event of an AC power failure, the unit will automatically switch to the connected backup battery (if installed) to maintain continuous power to the access control system.
- Fault Recovery: The system features auto-recovery; once an output short or overload condition is removed.
6. Maintenance
The Seco-Larm Enforcer Power Supply is designed for reliable, low-maintenance operation. Regular checks can help ensure optimal performance.
- Ventilation: Ensure the ventilation holes on the enclosure are not obstructed to prevent heat build-up.
- Environmental Conditions: Verify that the unit remains in a dry, indoor environment, free from moisture and extreme temperatures.
- Battery Check (if applicable): If backup batteries are installed, periodically check their condition and replace them according to the manufacturer's recommendations to ensure reliable backup power.
- Connections: Periodically inspect all wiring connections for tightness and signs of corrosion.
7. Troubleshooting
This section provides guidance for common issues you might encounter with your EAP-5D5Q power supply.
- No Power Output:
- Check if the AC input Green LED is illuminated. If not, verify AC power supply and the 3.15A glass fuse.
- Check if the DC output Red LED is illuminated. If not, ensure all connections are secure.
- Flashing Red LED:
- A flashing red LED indicates an output overload or short-circuit condition.
- Immediately disconnect devices from the outputs and inspect for shorts or excessive current draw.
- The unit features auto-recovery; once the fault is cleared, the output should resume normal operation.
- No Backup Battery Operation:
- Ensure backup batteries are properly connected and charged.
- Check the battery failure supervision relay status.
- Verify battery health; old or faulty batteries may not hold a charge.
- Supervision Relay Issues:
- Verify DIP switch settings for EOL resistor and delay timer.
- Ensure proper wiring to the alarm control panel or other integrated systems.
