Setup

1. Connecting the Cable

The HSD271 headset uses a plug-in cable with a six-pin mini XLR connector. Align the connector with the port on the headset and push firmly until it clicks into place. Ensure a secure connection to prevent audio interruptions.

2. Adjusting the Microphone Arm

The flexible microphone arm can be mounted to either the left or right side of the headset, depending on user preference. To adjust, gently pivot the microphone arm into the desired position. The microphone automatically mutes when the arm is moved to the upright position.

3. Wearing the Headset

Place the headset over your ears. The self-adjusting headband is designed to provide a comfortable fit for extended wear without manual adjustment. Ensure the earcups fully enclose your ears for optimal sound isolation and comfort.

Operating Instructions

1. Audio Monitoring

The HSD271 provides high-quality audio monitoring through its closed-back, over-ear design, which offers excellent noise attenuation. Connect the headset to your audio source (e.g., mixing console, intercom system) using the appropriate cable.

2. Microphone Usage

To activate the microphone, lower the flexible arm to a position in front of your mouth. The microphone is dynamic and designed for clear voice communication. To mute the microphone, simply raise the arm to its upright position.

3. Automatic Headphone Mute

The headset features a switch in the headband that automatically mutes the audio when the headphones are taken off. This prevents feedback and protects the headphones from accidental loud signals when not in use.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

Wipe the headset surfaces with a soft, dry cloth. For ear pads, use a slightly damp cloth with mild soap if necessary, then dry thoroughly. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

2. Replacing Ear Pads

The HSD271 comes with an additional set of velour ear pads. To replace, gently peel off the existing ear pads from the earcups. Align the new ear pads with the earcup and carefully stretch them around the rim until they are securely fitted.

3. Storing the Headset

When not in use, store the headset in a clean, dry place away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight. Avoid wrapping the cable tightly around the headset to prevent damage.
