4. Assembly Instructions

Assembly is required for this product. Follow these steps carefully. It is recommended to assemble the chair on a soft, clean surface to prevent scratches.

1. Attach Casters to Base: Insert the five casters into the holes at the end of each leg of the star base. Push firmly until they click into place.
2. Insert Gas Lift: Place the gas lift cylinder into the center hole of the assembled star base.
3. Attach Mechanism to Seat: Align the mechanism plate with the pre-drilled holes on the underside of the seat cushion. Secure it using the provided screws and Allen key. Ensure the front of the mechanism faces the front of the seat.
4. Attach Armrests: Secure the armrests to the sides of the seat cushion using the provided screws. Do not overtighten initially.
5. Attach Backrest: Connect the backrest to the mechanism plate or seat frame using the designated screws. Adjust the armrests if necessary to align with the backrest attachment points, then tighten all armrest screws.
6. Attach Headrest: Slide the headrest into the slot at the top of the backrest. Adjust its height and inclination as desired.
7. Connect Seat to Gas Lift: Carefully place the assembled seat and backrest onto the gas lift cylinder, ensuring it is centered. Apply downward pressure to secure it.

5. Operating Instructions (Adjustments)

Your Mayer Swivel Chair offers several adjustment options to customize your seating experience for optimal comfort and support.

• Seat Height Adjustment: Locate the lever on the right side beneath the seat. Pull the lever up to raise the seat. To lower, pull the lever up while seated. Release the lever at the desired height. The seat height range is approximately 47-56 cm.
• Backrest Tilt and Lock: The chair features a synchronous mechanism. Use the lever on the left side beneath the seat to adjust the backrest tilt. Pull the lever out to allow the backrest to recline freely. Push the lever in to lock the backrest in an upright or reclined position.
• Individual Weight Adjustment: A knob located beneath the seat (usually at the front or center) allows you to adjust the tension of the backrest tilt. Turn clockwise to increase tension (for heavier users) and counter-clockwise to decrease tension (for lighter users).
• Seat Depth Adjustment: Some models feature a seat depth adjustment. Look for a lever or button on the side of the seat. Activate it to slide the seat forward or backward, then release to lock.
• Armrest Adjustment: The armrests are height and depth adjustable. Locate the buttons or levers on the armrests. Press or lift to adjust the height, and slide the armrest pad forward or backward for depth adjustment. Release to lock.
• Headrest Adjustment: The headrest can be adjusted for both height and inclination. Gently pull or push the headrest to move it up or down, and tilt it to find your preferred angle.
• Lumbar Support Adjustment: The chair includes height-adjustable lumbar support. Locate the mechanism on the backrest and slide it up or down to position the support correctly for your lower back.
