2. Safety Information
Please read and understand all safety instructions before installing or operating the pump. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.
- Always disconnect power before performing any service or maintenance.
- Ensure the power supply matches the pump's voltage requirements (12 Volts).
- Do not pump flammable liquids.
- Protect electrical connections from water exposure.
- Install the pump in a well-ventilated area.
- Secure the pump properly to prevent movement and reduce noise.
3. Setup and Installation
3.1. Mounting
Mount the pump in a dry, accessible location. The mounting feet are designed to provide excellent vibration isolation, reducing operational noise. Ensure the pump is securely fastened to a stable surface using appropriate hardware.

3.2. Electrical Connection
Connect the pump to a 12 Volt DC power source. The pump requires a 6 Amp power supply. Ensure correct polarity (red wire to positive, black wire to negative) and use appropriate gauge wiring and fusing for the circuit. All electrical connections should be secure and protected from moisture.
3.3. Plumbing Connection
The pump is supplied with a water filter and fittings for 12 mm hose connections. Install the filter on the inlet side of the pump to prevent debris from entering the pump mechanism. Ensure all hose connections are tight to prevent leaks.

4. Operating Instructions
Once properly installed and connected, the Seaflo pump operates automatically based on demand.
- Priming: Ensure there is water available at the inlet. Open a faucet in the system to allow air to escape. The pump will begin to draw water and self-prime.
- Automatic Operation: The integrated pressure switch will turn the pump on when water pressure drops (e.g., when a faucet is opened) and turn it off when the pressure is restored (e.g., when the faucet is closed).
- Smooth Flow: The 4-chamber diaphragm and bypass system work together to provide a consistent, pulsation-free water flow, enhancing user comfort and system longevity.
- Quiet Performance: The pump is designed for ultra-quiet operation, minimizing disturbance.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficient operation of your Seaflo pump.
- Filter Cleaning: Periodically inspect and clean the inlet water filter to prevent blockages and maintain optimal flow. Disconnect power, remove the filter housing, clean the mesh screen, and reassemble.
- System Inspection: Regularly check all plumbing connections for leaks and electrical connections for corrosion or damage.
- Winterization: In freezing conditions, drain the pump and plumbing system completely to prevent damage from ice expansion.
- Dry Running: The pump is capable of running dry without damage, but prolonged dry running is not recommended. Ensure a consistent water supply.
6. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Pump does not run | No power; Blown fuse; Loose wiring | Check power supply, fuse, and all electrical connections. |
| Low flow or no pressure | Clogged inlet filter; Air in system; Kinked hose; Low voltage | Clean filter; Bleed air from system; Check hoses for obstructions; Verify 12V supply. |
| Pump runs continuously | Leak in plumbing; Faulty pressure switch | Check all connections for leaks; Inspect or replace pressure switch. |
| Excessive noise/vibration | Loose mounting; Air in system; Debris in pump | Secure pump mounting; Bleed air; Inspect pump for foreign objects. |
