1. Setup

1.1 Unpacking and Initial Cleaning

  1. Carefully remove all packaging materials and accessories from the box.
  2. Wash the pot, lid, and all accessories (gasket, steam basket, valve) with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
  3. Inspect the gasket for any damage or deformation. Ensure it is correctly seated in the lid.

1.2 Assembling the Lid and Valve

  • Ensure the operating valve is properly installed on the lid. It should rotate freely between the two cooking programs and the pressure release position.
  • Verify that the safety valve is clean and moves freely.

2. Operating Instructions

2.1 Filling the Pressure Cooker

  • Always add a minimum of 250 ml (1 cup) of liquid to the pressure cooker for proper operation.
  • Do not fill the pressure cooker more than two-thirds (2/3) full for most foods.
  • For foods that expand during cooking (e.g., rice, dried vegetables), do not fill more than half (1/2) full.

2.2 Closing the Lid

  1. Place the lid on the pot, aligning the lid's arrow with the pot's handle.
  2. Press down on the central button of the lid handle. The side clamps will automatically engage, securing the lid.
  3. Ensure the lid is fully locked before placing the cooker on a heat source. You should hear a click and the handle should be firmly in place.

2.3 Selecting a Cooking Program

  • Your Clipso Plus pressure cooker has two cooking programs, indicated by symbols on the operating valve:
    • Program 1 (Vegetables/Delicate Foods): Lower pressure setting, ideal for vegetables, fish, and other delicate ingredients.
    • Program 2 (Meat/Starchy Foods): Higher pressure setting, suitable for meats, stews, and starchy foods.
  • Rotate the operating valve to align the desired program symbol with the indicator on the lid.

2.4 Cooking Process

  1. Place the pressure cooker on a suitable heat source (gas, electric, ceramic, or induction). Use a burner that matches the diameter of the pot base.
  2. Heat on high until steam begins to escape steadily from the operating valve.
  3. Once steam is continuously escaping, reduce the heat to maintain a gentle, steady release of steam. This is when the cooking time begins.
  4. Follow recipe instructions for specific cooking times.

2.5 Releasing Pressure and Opening the Lid

  1. After cooking, remove the pressure cooker from the heat source.
  2. Natural Release: Allow the pressure to decrease naturally. The pressure indicator will drop completely. This method is ideal for foods that benefit from continued cooking.
  3. Quick Release: Carefully turn the operating valve to the steam release position. Keep hands and face away from the escaping steam. Once all steam has escaped and the pressure indicator has dropped, the pressure is fully released.
  4. Only open the lid when the pressure indicator has fully dropped and no more steam is escaping.
  5. To open, lift the central button on the lid handle. The clamps will retract, allowing you to remove the lid.

3. Maintenance

3.1 Cleaning After Each Use

  • Always clean your pressure cooker immediately after each use.
  • Pot: Wash the stainless steel pot with warm soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge. For stubborn food residues, soak the pot before cleaning. Rinse thoroughly.
  • Lid: Disassemble the operating valve and remove the gasket. Wash the lid, valve components, and gasket with warm soapy water. Rinse all parts thoroughly.
  • Steam Basket: Wash with warm soapy water.
  • Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling and storing.

Important: The main pressure cooker pot is not dishwasher safe. Refer to the specific manual for individual accessory dishwasher compatibility.

3.2 Gasket and Valve Inspection

  • Regularly inspect the gasket for cracks, tears, or hardening. Replace the gasket annually or if any damage is observed to ensure proper sealing and safety.
  • Ensure the operating valve and safety valve are clear of any food particles and move freely. Clean them regularly to prevent blockages.

3.3 Storage

  • Store the pressure cooker with the lid inverted on the pot to allow air circulation and prevent the gasket from compressing and losing its elasticity.
  • Store in a dry place.

4. Troubleshooting
