Introduction

The Logitech Keyboard Folio provides a protective case and an integrated Bluetooth keyboard for your iPad 2nd, 3rd, or 4th generation. This folio offers full wraparound protection for your device while enhancing your typing experience with full-size keys. It features a magnetic stand for optimal viewing and an automatic wake/sleep function.

Setup

1. Inserting Your iPad

1. Open the Keyboard Folio.
2. Carefully align your iPad with the protective frame of the folio.
3. Gently press the iPad into the frame until it is securely seated. Ensure all edges are properly enclosed.

2. Charging the Keyboard

Before initial use, fully charge the keyboard. The keyboard has a rechargeable battery that can last up to three months on a full charge with average use.

• Locate the micro-USB charging port on the side of the keyboard folio.
• Connect the included USB charging cable to the port.
• Connect the other end of the USB cable to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
• The charging indicator light will illuminate. Once fully charged, the light may change color or turn off.

3. Pairing with iPad via Bluetooth

1. Ensure your iPad's Bluetooth is enabled. Go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn it On.
2. Turn on the Keyboard Folio by sliding the power switch located on the side. The Bluetooth indicator light will begin to blink, indicating it's in pairing mode.
3. On your iPad, under Devices, select Logitech Keyboard Folio.
4. If prompted, enter the pairing code displayed on your iPad into the Keyboard Folio and press Enter.
5. Once paired, the Bluetooth indicator light on the folio will turn solid, and your iPad will show "Connected" next to the device name.

Operating Instructions

Using the Keyboard

The integrated EasyType Bluetooth keyboard provides a traditional typing experience with full-size keys. It includes dedicated iOS shortcut keys for enhanced productivity.

Magnetic Stand and Closure

• Typing Position: Position your iPad in the magnetic groove above the keyboard. This holds your iPad at an optimal angle for typing.
• Viewing Position: The folio can be adjusted to various angles for comfortable viewing of content.
• Secure Closure: When closed, the magnets keep the folio securely shut, protecting your iPad during transport.

Auto Wake/Sleep Function

The folio features an automatic wake/sleep function. Opening the folio will wake your iPad, and closing it will put your iPad to sleep, conserving battery life.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the exterior of the folio. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
• Storage: Store the folio in a cool, dry place when not in use.
• Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the keyboard battery frequently. Recharge when the low battery indicator appears.

Troubleshooting

Keyboard not connecting via Bluetooth:

• Ensure the keyboard is powered on and charged.
• Verify Bluetooth is enabled on your iPad.
• Forget the device on your iPad (Settings > Bluetooth > tap the "i" icon next to the device > Forget This Device) and attempt to re-pair.
• Restart both your iPad and the Keyboard Folio.

Keys not responding:

• Check if the keyboard is connected via Bluetooth.
• Ensure the keyboard battery is charged.
• Try restarting the keyboard and iPad.

iPad not waking/sleeping automatically:

• Ensure your iPad is properly seated in the folio.
• Check iPad settings for "Lock/Unlock" or "Cover Lock/Unlock" features (may vary by iOS version).
