1. Setup

2. Operating Instructions
2.1 Display Overview
The monochrome display provides the following information:
- Current Temperature: Displayed in large digits, typically in Celsius.
- Current Humidity: Displayed in large digits, as a percentage (RH%).
- MAX Indicator: Appears next to temperature and humidity readings when displaying maximum recorded values.
- Comfort Indicator: A small icon (e.g., a smiley face) indicating the general comfort level based on temperature and humidity.
2.2 Minimum/Maximum Records
The WS 9450 automatically records the minimum and maximum temperature and humidity values since the last reset. To view these records:
- Press the MAX/MIN button (if present, typically on the back or side) once to display maximum values.
- Press it again to display minimum values.
- Press it a third time to return to current readings.
2.3 Resetting Records
To clear the recorded minimum and maximum values and start a new recording cycle:
- While viewing the MAX or MIN records, press and hold the MAX/MIN button for approximately 3 seconds.
- The display will briefly flash or show a reset confirmation, and new recording will begin from the current values.
2.4 Comfort Indicator
The comfort indicator provides a quick visual reference for indoor conditions. The specific icon (e.g., happy face, neutral face, sad face) changes based on the combined temperature and humidity levels, indicating whether the environment is considered comfortable, too dry, or too humid.

3.1 Battery Replacement
When the display dims or stops functioning, it is time to replace the battery.
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the unit.
- Remove the cover.
- Remove the old Lithium Metal battery.
- Insert a new 1 Lithium Metal battery, ensuring correct polarity.
- Replace the battery compartment cover.
- Dispose of the old battery according to local regulations.
3.2 Cleaning
To clean the unit, use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or immerse the unit in water. Keep the ventilation openings clear of dust and debris.
