Setup
1. Connecting the Base Unit
- Plug one end of the telephone line cord into the TEL LINE jack on the back of the base unit.
- Plug the other end of the telephone line cord into a telephone wall jack.
- Plug one of the AC adapters into the POWER jack on the back of the base unit.
- Plug the other end of the AC adapter into a wall outlet not controlled by a wall switch.
2. Battery Installation
Each handset requires a rechargeable Ni-MH battery. Follow these steps for each handset:
- Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the handset.
- Connect the battery pack plug securely into the jack inside the battery compartment.
- Place the battery pack with the label UP into the battery compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover.
3. Charging the Handsets
Once the batteries are installed, place each handset in the main base unit or one of the charging cradles to charge. The CHARGE light on the handset will illuminate, indicating it is charging. Allow at least 10 hours for the batteries to fully charge before initial use.

Operating Your Phone System
Making and Receiving Calls
- To make a call: Press TALK/FLASH or SPEAKER, then dial the number.
- To receive a call: Press TALK/FLASH or SPEAKER when the phone rings.
- To end a call: Press OFF/CANCEL.
Using the Digital Answering System
The main base unit features a digital answering system to record incoming messages. The message counter on the base unit displays the number of new messages.
- To turn the answering system ON/OFF: Press the ANS ON/OFF button on the base unit.
- To play messages: Press PLAY/STOP on the base unit.
- To delete messages: Press DELETE during message playback.
Caller ID and Call Waiting
The phone displays the caller's name and number (if available) before you answer. If you subscribe to Call Waiting service, the phone will alert you to a new incoming call while you are on another call.
- To review Caller ID history: Press CID on the handset.
- To answer a waiting call: Press FLASH.
Intercom Between Handsets
You can use the intercom feature to communicate between two handsets within the system.
- To initiate an intercom call: Press INT on a handset, then dial the number of the destination handset (e.g., 1, 2, or 3).
- To end an intercom call: Press OFF/CANCEL.
Speakerphone Function
Each handset is equipped with a full-duplex speakerphone, allowing for hands-free conversations.
- To activate speakerphone during a call: Press SPEAKER.
- To switch back to handset mode: Press TALK/FLASH.
Backlit Keypad and Display
The handsets feature a backlit keypad and display, making it easier to dial and view information in low-light conditions.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Clean the phone and handsets with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use cleaning agents or abrasive powders.
- Battery Care: To maintain optimal battery performance, fully charge the handsets for 10 hours before initial use. If the phone will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries.
- Avoid Water: Do not expose the phone system to water or moisture.
