1. Important Safeguards

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons, including the following:

  • To protect against fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, do not immerse cord, plugs, or the kettle base in water or other liquid.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  • Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Contact the manufacturer for examination, repair, or adjustment.
  • The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
  • Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
  • Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to 'off', then remove plug from wall outlet.
  • Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
  • Always ensure the lid is securely closed during operation. Scalding may occur if the lid is open during boiling.
  • This appliance is for household use only.

3. Setup

3.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove the kettle and all its components from the packaging. Retain the packaging for future storage or disposal. Ensure all parts are present and undamaged.

3.2 Before First Use

  1. Fill the kettle with cold tap water to the MAX fill line.
  2. Boil the water as described in the 'Operating Instructions' section.
  3. Discard the boiled water.
  4. Repeat this process two to three times to remove any manufacturing residues.

3.3 Placement

Place the power base on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface. Ensure the kettle is positioned away from the edge of the counter to prevent accidental tipping. The cord wrap feature on the base helps manage excess cord length.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Filling the Kettle

  1. Ensure the kettle is unplugged from the power outlet.
  2. Open the hinged lid.
  3. Fill the kettle with the desired amount of cold tap water. Do not fill below the MIN mark or above the MAX mark indicated on the water level window.
  4. Close the lid securely until it snaps into place.

4.2 Boiling Water

  1. Place the filled kettle firmly onto its power base.
  2. Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.
  3. Press the ON/OFF switch located on the handle downwards. The indicator light will illuminate, signifying that the kettle is heating.
  4. The kettle will automatically switch off once the water has reached a rolling boil, and the indicator light will extinguish.
  5. Carefully lift the kettle from its base and pour the hot water.

4.3 Automatic Safety Shut-off

The kettle is equipped with an automatic safety shut-off feature. If the kettle is accidentally switched on without sufficient water, or if it boils dry, the safety mechanism will automatically cut off power to prevent damage to the heating element. If this occurs, unplug the kettle, allow it to cool down for a few minutes, then refill with cold water and restart.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

5.1 General Cleaning

Always unplug the kettle from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.

  • Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may scratch the surface.
  • Interior: The interior can be rinsed with water. For stubborn stains, use a soft brush or sponge.
  • Base: Wipe the power base with a dry cloth. Never immerse the power base in water or any other liquid.
  • Filter: The kettle may have a removable filter near the spout. Rinse it under running water to remove any scale or debris.

5.2 Descaling

Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas. This can affect performance and taste. Descale your kettle regularly, depending on water hardness and frequency of use.

Method 1 (Vinegar):

  1. Fill the kettle with 2 cups of white vinegar and 2 cups of water.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil and let it stand for 30 minutes.
  3. Discard the mixture and rinse the kettle thoroughly with fresh water several times.

Method 2 (Citric Acid):

  1. Dissolve 1 tablespoon of citric acid in 4 cups of water.
  2. Pour the solution into the kettle and bring it to a boil.
  3. Let it stand for 15-20 minutes, then discard the solution.
  4. Rinse the kettle thoroughly with fresh water several times.

6. Troubleshooting
