Package Contents

  • Bernzomatic TS8000 Trigger-Start Torch Head
  • Bernzomatic 14.1 oz MAP-Pro Fuel Cylinder

Setup

  1. Ensure the torch's gas control knob is in the 'OFF' position.
  2. Hold the MAP-Pro fuel cylinder upright.
  3. Carefully thread the TS8000 torch head onto the valve of the fuel cylinder. Turn clockwise until hand-tight. Do not overtighten.
  4. Check for any leaks by listening for a hissing sound or applying a leak detection solution to the connection point. If a leak is detected, tighten the connection or replace the cylinder if necessary.
  5. Place the assembled torch on a stable, non-flammable surface before use.

Operating Instructions

  1. Ignition: Slowly turn the gas control knob counter-clockwise to open the gas flow. Once you hear gas flowing, press the trigger-start button to ignite the flame. The TS8000 features an instant on/off trigger ignitor for convenience.
  2. Flame Adjustment: Adjust the flame intensity by rotating the gas control knob. Turn clockwise to decrease the flame and counter-clockwise to increase it. The torch provides maximum heat output with a high-intensity flame.
  3. Operation: Direct the flame towards the workpiece. The torch is designed to heat more surface area efficiently.
  4. Shut-off: To turn off the torch, release the trigger-start button (if held) and then turn the gas control knob fully clockwise to the 'OFF' position until the flame extinguishes completely.
  5. Cool Down: Allow the torch head and cylinder to cool down completely before storing or disassembling.

Maintenance

  • Regularly inspect the torch head and fuel cylinder for any signs of damage, wear, or leaks.
  • Keep the torch clean and free from debris. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
  • Store the torch and fuel cylinder separately in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and flammable materials.
  • Do not attempt to repair damaged components. Contact customer support for assistance.
