5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your SteelSeries Apex RAW Gaming Keyboard, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Keyboard Not Responding:
Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to a functioning USB port on your computer. Try connecting the keyboard to a different USB port or a different computer to rule out port or system issues. - Keys Not Lighting Up:
Check the illumination brightness settings on the keyboard. Ensure the SteelSeries Engine software is running if you have customized lighting profiles. - Macro Keys Not Working:
Verify that the SteelSeries Engine software is installed and that your macros are correctly configured and assigned to the desired keys and layers. Ensure you are on the correct macro layer if using multiple layers. - Windows Key Interfering with Gameplay:
Refer to Section 3.6 for instructions on how to disable the Windows key during gaming sessions. - Input Lag or Missed Keypresses:
While the keyboard features anti-ghosting, ensure your system meets the minimum requirements. Close any unnecessary background applications that might be consuming system resources.
