2. Setup

  1. Battery Installation: The scale requires two (2) AAA batteries, which are included. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale. Open the compartment, insert the batteries according to the polarity indicators (+/-), and ensure to remove any insulation tab if present before first use. Close the battery compartment securely.

3. Operating Instructions

  1. Power On/Off: Press the 'ON/TARE/OFF' button to turn the scale on. The display will show '0.0' when ready for use. To turn off, press and hold the 'ON/TARE/OFF' button for a few seconds, or allow the automatic shut-off feature to activate after a period of inactivity.
  2. Selecting Units: Press the 'UNIT' button to cycle through available measurement units: pounds (lb), ounces (oz), grams (g), and fluid ounces (fl.oz). Select the desired unit before weighing.
  3. Tare Function: The Tare function allows you to weigh multiple ingredients in the same container or to exclude the weight of a container. Place an empty container on the scale and press the 'ON/TARE/OFF' button. The display will reset to '0.0'. Add your first ingredient, record its weight, then press 'ON/TARE/OFF' again to zero the scale before adding the next ingredient.
  4. Weighing Items: Place the item(s) directly onto the glass platform or into a tared container. The weight will be displayed on the LCD screen.
