  3. Placement: Place the coffee machine on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface, away from the edge of the counter. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit.
  4. First Brew Cycle (Cleaning):
    • Fill the water reservoir with clean, cold water up to the maximum fill line.
    • Place a paper filter (not included) into the filter holder. Do not add coffee grounds for this cycle.
    • Place both empty glass carafes on their respective heating plates.
    • Plug the machine into a grounded 230V power outlet.
    • Press the power switch to start the brewing cycle. The indicator light will illuminate.
    • Allow the full cycle to complete. Discard the hot water and the paper filter.
    • Repeat this process once or twice to ensure the machine is thoroughly cleaned.

5. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to brew coffee with your SARO Eco Coffee Machine:

  1. Prepare the Filter Holder: Open the lid of the water reservoir. Insert a new paper filter into the plastic filter holder.
  2. Add Coffee Grounds: Add your desired amount of ground coffee into the paper filter. A general guideline is one tablespoon of coffee grounds per cup (approx. 150ml of water), but adjust to your taste.
  3. Fill Water Reservoir: Fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold water. Do not exceed the maximum fill line indicated inside the reservoir. Close the lid securely.
  4. Position Carafes: Ensure both empty glass carafes are correctly placed on their respective heating plates beneath the filter holder.
  5. Start Brewing: Plug the machine into a 230V power outlet. Press the power switch. The indicator light will turn on, signifying that the brewing process has begun.
  6. Brewing Process: Water will heat up and drip through the coffee grounds into the carafes. The brewing process will take several minutes.
  7. Keep Warm Function: Once brewing is complete, the heating plates will automatically keep the coffee warm. The indicator light will remain on.
  8. Serving: Carefully remove a carafe from the heating plate to pour coffee. Replace the carafe promptly to keep the remaining coffee warm.
  9. Turn Off: To turn off the machine, press the power switch again. The indicator light will turn off. Unplug the machine from the outlet when not in use.

Note: For optimal taste, it is recommended to consume coffee shortly after brewing. Prolonged heating can affect coffee flavor.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your coffee machine.

Daily Cleaning:

  1. Always unplug the coffee machine and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Remove the used paper filter and discard coffee grounds.
  3. Wash the glass carafes and the plastic filter holder in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. These parts are not dishwasher safe.
  4. Wipe the exterior of the machine, including the stainless steel body and heating plates, with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
  5. Do not immerse the main unit, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.

Descaling:

Mineral deposits (limescale) can build up in your coffee machine over time, affecting performance and coffee taste. Descale your machine regularly, depending on the hardness of your water and frequency of use (e.g., every 2-4 weeks).

  1. Prepare a descaling solution according to the descaler product instructions (e.g., white vinegar diluted with water, or a commercial descaling agent).
  2. Pour the descaling solution into the water reservoir.
  3. Place empty carafes on the heating plates. Do not use a paper filter or coffee grounds.
  4. Run a brewing cycle. After about half the solution has brewed through, turn off the machine and let it sit for 15-20 minutes to allow the solution to work.
  5. Turn the machine back on and allow the remaining solution to brew through.
  6. Discard the descaling solution from the carafes.
  7. Run at least two full cycles with fresh, clean water to rinse the machine thoroughly and remove any residual descaler taste.
