Introduction
The Hasbro Gaming Taboo Dice Game (Spanish Version) is an exciting word-guessing game designed to challenge your communication skills. Players work in teams to get their partners to guess a secret word without using any of the forbidden 'Taboo' words listed on the card. This manual provides all the necessary information to set up, play, and enjoy the game.
Components
The Taboo Dice Game includes the following components:
- Game Cards (with secret words and Taboo words)
- Card Holder
- Squeaker (to signal forbidden words)
- Sand Timer
- Scorepad
- Instructions

The game cards feature a main word to be guessed and a list of associated words that are forbidden. The squeaker is used by the opposing team to alert the clue-giver if a forbidden word is used. The sand timer ensures fast-paced gameplay.
Setup
- Form Teams: Divide players into two or more teams. For optimal gameplay, each team should have at least two players.
- Prepare Cards: Shuffle the game cards thoroughly and place them face down in the card holder.
- Designate a Monitor: For each round, one player from the opposing team will act as the monitor. Their role is to watch the clue-giver and use the squeaker if any Taboo words are spoken.
- Prepare Scoring: Have the scorepad and a writing utensil ready to track points.

Operating (How to Play)
- Clue-Giver's Turn: A player from the active team draws a card from the card holder. This player is the clue-giver.
- Start the Timer: Once the clue-giver is ready, the sand timer is flipped to begin the round.
- Give Clues: The clue-giver must get their teammates to guess the main word at the top of the card. They can use any words or phrases, but they cannot use any of the 'Taboo' words listed below the main word. Gestures and sounds are generally allowed, but check specific rules for any variations.
- Monitor's Role: The monitor from the opposing team watches the clue-giver. If the clue-giver uses a Taboo word, makes a sound effect that is part of a Taboo word, or uses a gesture that directly mimics a Taboo word, the monitor immediately presses the squeaker.
- Penalties: If the squeaker is pressed, the current card is discarded, and the active team loses a point. The clue-giver must then draw a new card.
- Guessing: Teammates shout out guesses. The first correct guess earns a point for the active team. The card is then placed in a 'guessed' pile.
- End of Round: The round ends when the sand timer runs out. The active team counts the number of successfully guessed cards (minus any penalties) to determine their score for the round.
- Next Round: Play passes to the next team, with a new clue-giver and monitor.
- Winning the Game: The game ends when a predetermined score is reached or after a set number of rounds. The team with the highest score wins.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues during gameplay, consider the following:
- Disputes over Taboo words: The designated monitor's decision is final. For friendly play, teams can agree on a house rule for resolving disputes before the game begins.
- Lost components: Contact Hasbro Gaming customer support for replacement parts if available.
- Difficulty with clues: Encourage clue-givers to think creatively and use synonyms or descriptive phrases that do not include the Taboo words.
