Controls and Indicators

Familiarize yourself with the buttons and display elements of your clock radio.

  • Display: Shows current time, alarm status, and radio frequency.
  • Time Set Button: Used to set the current time.
  • Alarm 1/Alarm 2 Buttons: Used to set and activate individual alarms.
  • Snooze/Dimmer Button: Activates snooze during an alarm; adjusts display brightness when not alarming.
  • Tune +/- Buttons: Adjusts radio frequency or time during setting.

  • AM/FM Button: Switches between AM and FM radio bands.

Setup

1. Power Connection

  1. Uncoil the built-in AC power cable.
  2. Plug the AC power cable into a standard 120V AC wall outlet. The unit will power on and the display will illuminate.

2. Battery Backup Installation

The clock radio requires 2 AAA batteries (not included) for battery backup. This feature maintains time and alarm settings during a power outage.

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the bottom of the unit.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert 2 AAA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Note: Batteries are for backup only and will not power the main functions of the clock radio.

Operating Instructions

1. Setting the Time

  1. Press and hold the TIME SET button until the display flashes.
  2. Use the TUNE + or TUNE - buttons to adjust the hour. Pay attention to the AM/PM indicator.
  3. Press the TIME SET button again to confirm the hour and move to minute adjustment.
  4. Use the TUNE + or TUNE - buttons to adjust the minutes.
  5. Press the TIME SET button one more time to save the time and exit time setting mode.

2. Setting Alarms (Alarm 1 and Alarm 2)

The unit features two independent alarms. The procedure is identical for both.

  1. Press and hold the ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 button until the alarm time flashes on the display.
  2. Use the TUNE + or TUNE - buttons to adjust the alarm hour. Observe the AM/PM indicator.
  3. Press the respective ALARM button again to confirm the hour and move to minute adjustment.
  4. Use the TUNE + or TUNE - buttons to adjust the alarm minutes.
  5. Press the respective ALARM button one more time to save the alarm time.
  6. Immediately after setting the time, press the ALARM button repeatedly to cycle through alarm modes: OFF, BUZZER, or RADIO. Select your desired wake-up source. An indicator will appear on the display when an alarm is active.

3. Using the Radio (AM/FM)

  1. Press the POWER button to turn on the radio.
  2. Press the AM/FM button to select either AM or FM band.
  3. Use the TUNE + or TUNE - buttons to manually tune to a desired station. Press and hold these buttons for automatic scanning to the next available station.
  4. Adjust the volume using the VOLUME + or VOLUME - buttons.

Storing and Recalling Presets

  1. Tune to the desired radio station.
  2. Press and hold a PRESET button (e.g., P1, P2) until the preset number flashes on the display. This saves the current station to that preset.
  3. To recall a preset station, simply press the corresponding PRESET button.

4. Snooze Function

When an alarm sounds, press the SNOOZE/DIMMER button to temporarily silence the alarm for approximately 9 minutes. The alarm will sound again after this period.

5. Dimmer Control

When the radio is off and no alarm is sounding, press the SNOOZE/DIMMER button repeatedly to cycle through different display brightness levels (High, Medium, Low, Off).

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace backup batteries annually or when the clock display is incorrect after a power outage.
  • Placement: Place the unit on a stable, flat surface away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and moisture.

Troubleshooting

ProblemSolution
Unit does not power on.Ensure the AC power cable is securely plugged into a working outlet.
Clock time is incorrect after a power outage.Check if the 2 AAA backup batteries are installed correctly and are not depleted. Replace if necessary.
Radio reception is poor.Extend and adjust the FM wire antenna for better reception. For AM, try repositioning the unit. Avoid placing near other electronic devices that may cause interference.
Alarm does not sound.Verify that the alarm time is set correctly and the alarm mode (BUZZER or RADIO) is selected and active (indicator on display). Ensure the volume is not set to minimum if using radio alarm.
Display is too bright/dim.Press the SNOOZE/DIMMER button (when no alarm is active) to adjust the display brightness.
