What's Included:
- Oxygenics Handheld Showerhead
- 60" Shower Hose
- Shower Arm Diverter/Holder
- Plumber's Tape (Teflon Tape)
Installation Steps:
- Prepare the Shower Arm: Ensure the water supply to your shower is turned off. Unscrew and remove your existing showerhead from the shower arm. Clean any residue from the shower arm threads.
- Apply Plumber's Tape: Wrap plumber's tape (provided) clockwise around the threads of the shower arm 3-4 times. This helps create a watertight seal.
- Install the Diverter/Holder: Screw the shower arm diverter/holder onto the taped shower arm threads. Hand-tighten only. Do not use tools, as this may damage the unit. Ensure the diverter is oriented correctly for the hose connection.
- Attach the Hose to the Diverter: Apply plumber's tape to the threads of one end of the 60" shower hose. Screw this end onto the bottom outlet of the diverter/holder. Hand-tighten only.
- Attach the Showerhead to the Hose: Apply plumber's tape to the threads of the showerhead's handle. Screw the other end of the 60" shower hose onto the showerhead handle. Hand-tighten only.
- Place Showerhead in Holder: Insert the showerhead into the holder on the diverter.
- Test for Leaks: Turn on the water supply and check for any leaks at all connection points. If leaks occur, turn off the water, re-tape the threads, and re-tighten the connections.
Operating Instructions
The Oxygenics Power Massage Hand Held Showerhead offers multiple spray settings for a customized showering experience.
Changing Spray Settings:
Locate the spray selector lever or dial on the face of the showerhead. Gently rotate or slide this selector to cycle through the 5 available spray patterns. Each setting provides a unique flow, from a wide, gentle spray to a concentrated, powerful massage.
Handheld Use:
The 60-inch hose allows for convenient handheld use, making it ideal for rinsing specific areas, cleaning the shower, or bathing children and pets.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance will ensure your Oxygenics showerhead continues to perform optimally and remain clog-free.
Cleaning the Nozzles:
The easy-clean nozzles are designed to prevent mineral buildup. To clean, simply rub your finger or a soft cloth over the rubber nozzles on the showerhead face while water is flowing. This will dislodge any mineral deposits.
General Cleaning:
To clean the exterior of the showerhead and hose, use a soft cloth and mild soap or a non-abrasive bathroom cleaner. Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or scouring pads, as these can damage the brushed nickel finish.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Low Water Pressure | Mineral buildup in nozzles; water restrictor; low household water pressure. | Clean nozzles by rubbing them. Ensure water restrictor (if present and removable per local codes) is not obstructed. Consult a plumber for persistent low household pressure. |
| Leaks at Connections | Insufficient plumber's tape; loose connection; damaged washer. | Turn off water, re-apply plumber's tape, and hand-tighten connections. Check that rubber washers are properly seated and not damaged. Replace if necessary. |
| Showerhead Clogging | Mineral deposits in nozzles. | Rub the rubber nozzles to dislodge deposits. The "NEVER CLOG!" warranty covers clogging due to mineral buildup. |
