Please check that all items are present and in good condition:

Setup

1. Unpacking and Placement

Carefully remove the turntable from its packaging. Place the unit on a stable, level surface away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and excessive vibration. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.

2. Installing the Platter and Slip Mat

  1. Place the metal platter onto the center spindle of the turntable. Ensure it sits securely.
  2. Place the felt slip mat on top of the platter.

4. Tonearm Setup (Counterweight and Anti-skating)

  1. Install Counterweight: Slide the counterweight onto the rear of the tonearm with the numbers facing forward.
  2. Balance the Tonearm: Release the tonearm clamp. Gently move the tonearm away from its rest. Rotate the counterweight until the tonearm is perfectly balanced horizontally, floating freely.
  3. Set Tracking Force: While holding the counterweight steady, rotate the numbered ring on the counterweight until "0" aligns with the line on the tonearm. Then, rotate the entire counterweight (including the numbered ring) counter-clockwise to the recommended tracking force for your cartridge (typically 2-4 grams for an MMC cartridge, refer to cartridge specifications if available).
  4. Set Anti-skating: Attach the anti-skating weight to the small groove on the anti-skating lever. The recommended setting is usually equal to the tracking force.

5. Audio Connection

The L-3810 has an integrated stereo pre-amplifier. Connect the supplied RCA cable from the turntable's RCA output jacks to an available audio input on your amplifier or powered speakers. Ensure the red plug connects to the right channel (R) and the white plug to the left channel (L).

Note: If your amplifier has a dedicated "Phono" input, you may choose to bypass the turntable's internal pre-amplifier if desired, but for most setups, using the integrated pre-amplifier is convenient.

6. Power Connection

Connect the power cable to the power input on the turntable and then plug it into a suitable wall outlet.

Operation

1. Powering On/Off

Rotate the Power knob clockwise to turn the turntable ON. Rotate it counter-clockwise to turn it OFF.

  3. Press the START/STOP button to begin platter rotation.
  4. Lift the tonearm using the mechanical arm lift lever.

6. Target Light

The TARGET LIGHT can be pulled up to illuminate the stylus and record surface, aiding in precise cueing, especially in low-light conditions. Push it down to retract.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning the Turntable

2. Cleaning the Stylus

A dirty stylus can cause distorted sound and damage your records. Use a soft brush designed for stylus cleaning, brushing gently from back to front (in the direction of play). Never brush from side to side.

3. Cleaning Records

Regularly clean your records with a carbon fiber brush or a record cleaning solution to remove dust and static. Always brush along the grooves, not across them.
