4. Tonearm Setup (Counterweight and Anti-skating)
- Install Counterweight: Slide the counterweight onto the rear of the tonearm with the numbers facing forward.
- Balance the Tonearm: Release the tonearm clamp. Gently move the tonearm away from its rest. Rotate the counterweight until the tonearm is perfectly balanced horizontally, floating freely.
- Set Tracking Force: While holding the counterweight steady, rotate the numbered ring on the counterweight until "0" aligns with the line on the tonearm. Then, rotate the entire counterweight (including the numbered ring) counter-clockwise to the recommended tracking force for your cartridge (typically 2-4 grams for an MMC cartridge, refer to cartridge specifications if available).
- Set Anti-skating: Attach the anti-skating weight to the small groove on the anti-skating lever. The recommended setting is usually equal to the tracking force.

5. Audio Connection
The L-3810 has an integrated stereo pre-amplifier. Connect the supplied RCA cable from the turntable's RCA output jacks to an available audio input on your amplifier or powered speakers. Ensure the red plug connects to the right channel (R) and the white plug to the left channel (L).
Note: If your amplifier has a dedicated "Phono" input, you may choose to bypass the turntable's internal pre-amplifier if desired, but for most setups, using the integrated pre-amplifier is convenient.
6. Power Connection
Connect the power cable to the power input on the turntable and then plug it into a suitable wall outlet.
Operation
1. Powering On/Off
Rotate the Power knob clockwise to turn the turntable ON. Rotate it counter-clockwise to turn it OFF.

6. Target Light
The TARGET LIGHT can be pulled up to illuminate the stylus and record surface, aiding in precise cueing, especially in low-light conditions. Push it down to retract.
Maintenance
1. Cleaning the Turntable
- Wipe the dust cover and turntable chassis with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they may damage the finish.
- Keep the dust cover closed when not in use to prevent dust accumulation.
2. Cleaning the Stylus
A dirty stylus can cause distorted sound and damage your records. Use a soft brush designed for stylus cleaning, brushing gently from back to front (in the direction of play). Never brush from side to side.
3. Cleaning Records
Regularly clean your records with a carbon fiber brush or a record cleaning solution to remove dust and static. Always brush along the grooves, not across them.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No power | Power cable not connected; outlet not active. | Ensure power cable is securely connected to the turntable and a working power outlet. |
| No sound or low volume | RCA cables not connected correctly; amplifier/speakers off or volume low; incorrect input selected on amplifier. | Check RCA cable connections. Ensure amplifier/speakers are powered on and volume is adequate. Select the correct input source on your amplifier. |
| Distorted sound | Dirty stylus; incorrect tracking force or anti-skating; damaged record; worn stylus. | Clean the stylus. Re-balance the tonearm and adjust tracking force/anti-skating. Inspect the record for damage. Consider replacing the stylus if worn. |
| Incorrect playback speed | Wrong speed selected; pitch control misadjusted. | Ensure the correct 33 or 45 RPM button is selected. Adjust the Pitch Control slider to fine-tune the speed. |
| Humming noise | Grounding issue; interference from other electronics. | Ensure proper grounding if your system requires it (though this model has an integrated preamp, external grounding might still be relevant for some setups). Move the turntable away from other electronic devices. |
