Installation and Setup

1. Battery Installation

1. Ensure the timer is in the 'OFF' position.
2. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the timer.
3. Open the compartment and insert two (2) AA alkaline batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
4. Close the battery compartment securely. The display should illuminate.

2. Attaching to Faucet

1. Thread the timer onto any standard outdoor garden faucet. Hand-tighten only. Do not use tools.
2. Attach your garden hose or irrigation system to the outlet of the timer.
3. Turn on the faucet completely. The timer is designed to operate with full water pressure.

Important: When freezing temperatures are expected, timers must be removed from hose faucets to prevent potential freezing damage.

Programming and Operation

The timer features a rotary dial with several settings for easy programming:

• SET CLOCK: Adjust the current time.
• START TIME: Set the desired time for watering to begin.
• HOW LONG: Determine the duration of each watering cycle.
• HOW OFTEN: Specify the frequency of watering cycles.
• AUTO: Activates the programmed watering schedule.
• OFF: Turns off all watering.

1. Set Current Time (SET CLOCK)

1. Turn the dial to 'SET CLOCK'.
2. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the hour. Press the '+' or '-' button to change the value. Hold the button for faster adjustment.
3. Press the 'MANUAL' button to switch between AM/PM.
4. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the minutes.
5. Turn the dial to the next setting or 'AUTO' to save.

2. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to set the desired time for watering to begin.
3. Press the 'MANUAL' button to switch between AM/PM.

3. Set Watering Duration (HOW LONG)

1. Turn the dial to 'HOW LONG'.
2. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to set the watering duration from 1 to 240 minutes.
3. Turn the dial to the next setting or 'AUTO' to save.

4. Set Watering Frequency (HOW OFTEN)

1. Turn the dial to 'HOW OFTEN'.
2. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to set the watering frequency. Options include every 6 hours, every 12 hours, or every 1 to 7 days.
3. Turn the dial to 'AUTO' to save and activate the program.

5. Automatic Operation (AUTO)

Once all settings are programmed, turn the dial to 'AUTO'. The timer will now operate according to your set schedule. The display will show the current time and the next scheduled watering cycle.

6. Manual Operation

To water manually, press the 'MANUAL' button. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to set the desired manual watering duration. Press 'MANUAL' again to start watering. To stop manual watering, press 'MANUAL' again or turn the dial to 'OFF'.

7. Rain Delay

To activate a rain delay, press and hold the '+' button while the dial is in the 'AUTO' position. This will pause the watering schedule for a set period (e.g., 24, 48, 72 hours). Press the '+' button repeatedly to cycle through delay options. The timer will resume its schedule automatically after the delay period.

Maintenance

Battery Replacement

Replace batteries annually or when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Always use fresh AA alkaline batteries. Remove old batteries promptly to prevent leakage.

Cleaning

Clean the exterior of the timer with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or submerge the unit in water.

Winterization

Before the first frost, disconnect the timer from the faucet and drain any remaining water. Store the timer indoors in a dry, protected area where temperatures will not drop below freezing. Removing batteries during storage is recommended.
