- The camera is waterproof to a depth of 45 feet (14 meters). Do not exceed this depth.
- After use in water, rinse the camera with fresh water and dry thoroughly before opening any compartments.
4. Maintenance
4.1. Cleaning
- Lens: Keep the lens cover clean. Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the lens. Avoid abrasive materials that could scratch the surface.
- Camera Body: Wipe the camera body with a damp cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a mild soap solution, then rinse with fresh water and dry.
- Seals: Regularly inspect the rubber seals around the battery/memory card compartment and other ports for dirt, sand, or damage. Clean them carefully to ensure the waterproof integrity. Even small particles can compromise the seal.
4.2. Battery Care
- Store batteries in a cool, dry place when not in use.
- Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently to prolong its lifespan.
- If the camera will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery.
4.3. Storage
- Store the camera in a dry, temperate environment, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Ensure the camera is clean and dry before storing.
5. Troubleshooting
5.1. Camera Not Powering On
- Ensure the battery is fully charged and correctly inserted.
- Check if the battery compartment door is securely closed and locked.
5.2. Water Leakage
- Critical: If water enters the camera, immediately remove the battery and memory card. Allow the camera to dry completely in a well-ventilated area.
- Always ensure all seals are clean and free of debris (sand, hair, etc.) before closing compartments and submerging the camera.
- If the camera has been dropped, inspect the seals and body for any cracks or damage that could compromise its waterproof integrity.
5.3. Poor Image Quality in Low Light
- While the camera has a high ISO sensitivity (up to 6400), extreme low-light conditions may still result in noise.
- Utilize the built-in flash or the LED macro lights when shooting in dark environments.
- Adjust shooting modes to "Night" or similar settings if available.
5.4. Short Battery Life
- Ensure the battery is fully charged before use.
- Reduce screen brightness and turn off unnecessary features (e.g., Wi-Fi if using Eye-Fi card) to conserve power.
- Consider carrying spare batteries for extended shooting sessions.
