Setup and Installation
Unpacking
Carefully remove the heater from its packaging. Inspect the unit for any signs of damage. If damage is present, do not use the heater and contact your retailer.
Positioning the Heater
- Place the heater on a stable, level, and non-combustible surface.
- Ensure there is at least 1 meter (3 feet) of clear space around the heater from all combustible materials (e.g., walls, furniture, curtains).
- Position the heater in a well-ventilated area.
Connecting the Gas Cylinder
Note: A gas cylinder, regulator, and hose are not supplied with the heater and must be purchased separately. Ensure they are compatible with butane or propane gas and meet local safety standards.
- Ensure the gas cylinder valve is in the OFF position.
- Connect one end of the gas hose to the heater's gas inlet. Tighten securely with a suitable clamp.
- Connect the other end of the gas hose to the gas regulator.
- Attach the gas regulator to the gas cylinder valve, following the regulator manufacturer's instructions.
- Check all connections for leaks using a soapy water solution. Bubbles indicate a leak. If a leak is detected, immediately turn off the gas supply and re-tighten connections. Do not use the heater if a leak persists.
- Place the gas cylinder inside the designated compartment within the heater, if applicable, or next to it in a stable position.
Operating Instructions
Ignition
- Ensure the heater is positioned safely and the gas cylinder is connected correctly.
- Open the valve on the gas cylinder.
- Press and hold the control knob (or ignition button) while simultaneously pressing the piezoelectric igniter button. You should hear a clicking sound and see a small flame ignite.
- Continue to hold the control knob for approximately 10-20 seconds after ignition to allow the thermocouple to heat up and activate the flame failure safety device.
- Release the control knob. The heater should remain lit. If it extinguishes, repeat the ignition process.
Adjusting Heat Output
The Orbegozo H-55 heater operates with a single heat output setting of 3000 Watts. The double-layer catalytic panel ensures efficient heat distribution.
Shutting Down the Heater
- Turn the control knob to the OFF position.
- Close the valve on the gas cylinder.
- Allow the heater to cool down completely before moving or storing it.
Maintenance
Cleaning
- Always ensure the heater is turned off, the gas supply is closed, and the unit is completely cool before cleaning.
- Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Gently clean the catalytic panel with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner to remove dust. Do not use water or liquids on the panel.
Storage
When not in use for extended periods, disconnect the gas cylinder and store the heater in a dry, dust-free location, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Heater does not ignite. | Gas cylinder empty or valve closed. Gas regulator faulty. Ignition button not pressed correctly. | Check gas cylinder level and open valve. Replace regulator if faulty. Ensure control knob is pressed and held while igniting. |
| Heater ignites but extinguishes when control knob is released. | Thermocouple not heated sufficiently. Faulty thermocouple. | Hold control knob for a longer period (10-20 seconds) after ignition. Contact qualified technician for thermocouple replacement. |
| Unusual odor of gas. | Gas leak. | Immediately shut off gas supply, ventilate area, check all connections with soapy water. Do not use if leak persists. Contact technician. |
| Heater shuts off unexpectedly during operation. | Low oxygen/high CO2 levels (safety system activated). Flame failure (safety system activated). | Ensure adequate ventilation. Open windows/doors. Do not restart until area is ventilated. Check gas supply. |
