5. Operation

The lockset operates using a keypad for electronic access or mechanical keys for override.

5.1. Initial Setup and Master Password

5.2. Adding User Passwords

Using the master password, you can add or delete up to 120 unique user passwords. Each user password grants access through the keypad.

  2. The lock will disengage, allowing the handle to operate.
  3. If an incorrect code is entered, the handle will not mechanically engage the cylinder, preventing unauthorized entry.

5.4. Mechanical Key Override

In emergency situations or if batteries are depleted, the provided mechanical keys can be used to unlock the door. Insert the key into the keyway and turn to unlock.

6.1. Battery Replacement

The lockset is designed for approximately 15,000 keypad activations, which translates to about 5 years of usage based on 10 activations per day. A low-battery alert will indicate when batteries need replacement. Replace all four AA batteries simultaneously with new, high-quality alkaline batteries.

Clean the lockset exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that may damage the finish or electronic components.
