Operating Instructions

Using the AquaScope for Underwater Observation

  1. Extend the Viewer: Gently pull the telescoping sections of the AquaScope to extend it to your desired length. Ensure all sections are securely locked into place to prevent collapse during use.
  2. Submerge the Lens: Carefully place the clear lens end of the AquaScope into the water. Ensure the lens is fully submerged and free of air bubbles for clear viewing. The water-resistant housing protects the internal components.
  3. Activate LED Lights: If observing in murky or low-light conditions, switch on the built-in LED lights. This will illuminate the area directly in front of the lens, enhancing visibility.
  4. Observe: Look through the soft eye cup at the top of the AquaScope. The 5x magnification will allow you to see underwater objects and creatures in detail.
  5. Utilize Integrated Tools:
    • Ruler: Use the integrated ruler to estimate the size of observed items.
    • Thermometer: Check the integrated thermometer to record the water temperature.
  6. Record Observations: Use the Marine Biologist's Journal to document your findings. Draw what you see, write descriptions, and record measurements.
