4. Assembly Instructions
Assembly typically requires two people. A Phillips head screwdriver and a hammer (or mallet) may be needed.
- Prepare Components: Unpack all parts and lay them out on a clean, soft surface to prevent damage. Identify each component using the provided parts list in your package.
- Attach Casters: Secure the four casters to the bottom of the side panels. Ensure the two locking casters are placed on the front-facing side of the workstation for easy access. Use the provided screws.
- Assemble Side Panels and Internal Shelf: Attach the internal shelf between the two side panels using dowels, cam bolts, and cam locks. Ensure the cam locks are fully tightened for a secure fit. The internal shelf is designed to hold a CPU or other items.
- Install Keyboard Tray Slides: This step requires careful attention. The keyboard tray slides (e.g., Hettich Ball Bearing Slide KA5632 or similar) typically come as a single unit. To install, you must separate the inner rail from the outer rail.
- Locate the small plastic lever or tab on the side of the slide mechanism.
- Press or pull this lever while simultaneously pulling the inner rail forward until it detaches from the outer rail.
- Attach the outer rails to the designated slots on the workstation's side panels using the provided screws.
- Attach the inner rails to the sides of the keyboard pullout shelf.
- Attach Top Panel: Place the top panel onto the assembled side panels and internal shelf. Secure it using dowels, cam bolts, and cam locks. Ensure the wire grommet holes align correctly.
- Install Back Panel: Slide the back panel into the grooves on the side panels and secure it. Ensure the wire grommet hole on the back panel is correctly positioned.
- Insert Wire Grommets: Place the plastic wire grommets into the pre-drilled holes on the top panel (2) and the back panel (1).
- Insert Keyboard Pullout Shelf: Carefully align the inner rails on the keyboard shelf with the outer rails on the workstation. Gently push the keyboard shelf into place until it clicks, indicating the rails are engaged. Test the smooth operation of the pullout shelf.
- Final Check: Verify all connections are tight and the workstation is stable. Lock the front casters to prevent movement.

5. Operating Instructions
- Mobility: To move the workstation, unlock the two front casters by flipping their levers. Once in the desired position, lock the casters to ensure stability.
- Keyboard Pullout Shelf: Gently pull the shelf forward to extend it for keyboard and mouse use. Push it back until it is flush with the desk when not in use.
- Internal Storage: Utilize the internal shelf for storing your computer tower, binders, or other office supplies. Ensure items do not obstruct airflow if storing a CPU.
- Cable Management: Route power cords and data cables through the two grommets on the top surface and the one grommet on the back panel to maintain an organized workspace.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that may damage the laminate finish.
- Caster Care: Periodically check casters for debris (hair, dust) and clean as needed to ensure smooth rolling. Lubricate axles with a silicone-based spray if movement becomes stiff.
- Hardware Check: Every few months, inspect all screws, cam locks, and bolts to ensure they remain tight. Retighten if necessary to maintain stability.
- Keyboard Tray Slides: If the keyboard tray becomes difficult to slide, clean the rails and apply a small amount of silicone lubricant.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Workstation is wobbly or unstable. | Loose hardware; uneven floor. | Check and tighten all cam locks and screws. Ensure the workstation is on a level surface. |
| Keyboard tray does not slide smoothly. | Debris in slides; dry rails; incorrect installation. | Clean the slide rails. Apply a silicone lubricant. Verify the inner and outer rails are correctly engaged and installed. |
| Casters do not roll freely. | Debris in wheels; casters locked. | Remove any debris (e.g., hair, dust) from the wheels. Ensure the locking levers are in the unlocked position. |
| Parts do not fit during assembly. | Incorrect orientation; wrong parts used. | Double-check the assembly diagrams and part numbers. Ensure components are oriented correctly before forcing them. |
