Attaching the Top Case
- Align the Monokey attachment points on the bottom of the TRK52N top case with the corresponding points on the installed Monokey plate.
- Press the top case down firmly until you hear a click, indicating it is securely latched onto the plate.
- Verify the case is properly secured by gently attempting to lift it without pressing the release button. It should not detach.
Operating the Top Case
Opening and Closing
- To Open: Insert the key into the lock cylinder and turn it to the unlocked position. Press the upper button located near the lock to release the lid. Lift the lid to access the interior.
- To Close: Lower the lid until it clicks into place. Turn the key back to the locked position to secure the lid.
Locking and Unlocking
The integrated lock mechanism secures both the lid and the case to the Monokey plate. Always ensure the key is turned to the locked position when leaving the motorcycle unattended to prevent theft and accidental opening.
Removing the Top Case
- Ensure the top case is unlocked.
- Press the lower button, typically marked "PRESS" or similar, located near the lock cylinder.
- While holding the button, lift the top case upwards and away from the Monokey plate.
