1. Product Overview

The Fujifilm X20 is a 12 MP digital camera featuring a large 2/3-inch X-Trans CMOS II Sensor. It is designed for enthusiasts and offers a blend of classic design with advanced photographic capabilities. 2. Getting Started (Setup)

2.1 Unboxing and Initial Inspection

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Verify that all items listed in the product's 'What's in the Box' section are present. Inspect the camera body and lens for any signs of damage.

2.2 Charging the Battery

  1. Insert the supplied battery into the battery charger.
  2. Plug the charger into a power outlet. The charging indicator will illuminate.
  3. Charging is complete when the indicator light turns off.

2.3 Inserting the Memory Card and Battery

  1. Open the battery/card compartment cover on the bottom of the camera.
  2. Insert the charged battery with the correct orientation until it clicks into place.
  3. Insert a compatible SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card (Class 10 or higher recommended) into the card slot until it clicks.
  4. Close the compartment cover securely.

2.4 Attaching the Lens

The Fujifilm X20 features an integrated lens. To prepare the camera for use, rotate the lens barrel to the 'ON' position. This extends the lens and powers on the camera.

3. Operating the Camera

3.1 Powering On/Off and Basic Controls

To power on the camera, rotate the lens barrel from the 'OFF' position to any of the shooting modes (e.g., 'P' for Program AE). To power off, rotate the lens barrel back to 'OFF'.

3.3 Focusing

The X20 features an Intelligent Hybrid AF system that combines phase detection and contrast AF for fast and accurate focusing. You can select different AF modes via the camera's menu or dedicated controls.

3.4 Viewfinder and LCD

The camera features a bright optical viewfinder with real-time shooting data display, allowing you to compose shots without taking your eye from the viewfinder. The 2.8-inch LCD monitor on the back provides a clear view for reviewing images, navigating menus, and composing shots when not using the optical viewfinder.

3.5 Video Recording

The Fujifilm X20 supports Full HD (1080p) video recording at 60 frames per second. To start recording, press the dedicated movie recording button. The camera's optical image stabilization helps to reduce blur from camera shake during video capture.
