2. Important Safety Instructions

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury, including the following:

4. Setup and Assembly

Before first use, ensure all parts are clean. The blending shaft, chopper/grinder attachment, whisk attachment, and measuring beaker are dishwasher-safe. The motor body should be wiped clean with a damp cloth.

Attaching/Detaching Accessories:

1. To attach the blending shaft, align the motor body with the shaft and twist until it clicks securely into place.
2. To detach, press the release button located on the back of the motor body and twist to separate the shaft.
3. The chopper/grinder and whisk attachments connect to the motor body in a similar twist-and-lock fashion.

5. Operating Instructions

The Cuisinart Smart Stick Hand Blender features a special Lock/Unlock safety mechanism to prevent accidental operation. Follow these steps to operate your blender:

1. Press and HOLD the Lock/Unlock button located on the top of the hand blender (Fig 3, item 1).
2. While holding the Lock/Unlock button, press and HOLD either the High or Low speed button (Fig 3, item 2).
3. Once the blender is activated, you can RELEASE the Lock/Unlock button. The blender will continue to operate as long as the speed button is held down.
4. To stop operation, release the High or Low speed button.

PLEASE NOTE:

You can also PRESS and HOLD the High or Low speed button FIRST, then press the Lock/Unlock button. Once the Hand Blender is activated, you can release the Lock/Unlock button.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance
