The 16-digit LCD display provides clear visibility for caller ID information, time, date, and menu options. The keypad includes standard numeric keys, function keys for call management, and dedicated buttons for speakerphone, mute, and redial.

Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Battery Installation: Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the phone base. Insert the 3 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the battery compartment cover securely.
  3. Connect Handset: Plug one end of the coiled handset cord into the handset and the other end into the designated jack on the side of the phone base.
  4. Connect Line Cord: Plug one end of the line cord into the "LINE" jack on the back or side of the phone base. Plug the other end into your telephone wall jack.
  5. Initial Power On: The phone should power on automatically once connected to the telephone line and batteries are installed. The LCD display will illuminate.
  6. Set Date and Time: Follow the on-screen prompts or refer to the "Operating Instructions" section to set the current date and time. This is crucial for accurate caller ID records.

Operating Instructions

Basic Call Functions

  • Making a Call: Lift the handset or press the SPK (Speaker) button. Dial the desired phone number.
  • Receiving a Call: When the phone rings, lift the handset or press the SPK button to answer.
  • Ending a Call: Place the handset back on the cradle or press the SPK button again if using speakerphone.
  • Redial: To redial the last number called, lift the handset or press SPK, then press the REDIAL button.
  • Mute: During a call, press the MUTE button to temporarily silence your microphone. Press again to unmute.
  • Pause: Use the PAUSE function when dialing numbers that require a pause, such as for accessing an extension or voicemail system.

Advanced Features

  • 16-Digit LCD Display: Displays incoming caller ID, time, date, call duration, and menu options. The backlight and adjustable contrast enhance readability.
  • Caller ID (CLI): Shows the number of the incoming call. New calls and repeat calls are indicated on the display.
  • Call Memory:
    • Incoming Calls: Stores up to 99 incoming calls. Use the CAL (Call Log) button and navigation keys to review.
    • Outgoing Calls: Stores up to 18 outgoing calls.
    • Checking/Erasing: Navigate through call records and use the appropriate button (e.g., DEL) to erase entries.
  • 6 One-Touch Memory: Program frequently dialed numbers for quick access. Refer to the phone's on-screen menu for programming instructions (typically involves pressing STORE and a memory key).
  • Ringtone Selection: Choose between four polyphonic or five normal ringtones. Adjust the ringing volume using the dedicated controls.
  • Do Not Disturb (DND): Activates a "ring off" function, preventing the phone from ringing for incoming calls. Consult the menu for activation/deactivation.
  • Pre-dial and Edit Function: Enter a number before lifting the handset or pressing speakerphone. You can edit the number before dialing.
  • Alarm Clock: Set up to 5 different alarm times. Access this feature through the phone's menu.
  • Basic Calculator: The phone includes a basic calculator function. Access it via the menu or a dedicated button if available.
  • Flash Time Programmable Settings: Useful for PABX systems or specific network features, allowing adjustment of the flash duration for call transfers or other services.
  • Intercom and Parallel Call Transfers: If connected to a compatible PABX system, the phone supports intercom functionality and parallel call transfers. Consult your PABX system's manual for specific setup.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to clean the phone's surface. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Replacement: When the display becomes dim or functions are erratic, it may be time to replace the 3 AA batteries. Ensure the phone is disconnected from the line before replacing batteries.
