4. Camera Overview

5. Initial Setup

5.2. Inserting a Memory Card

- Open the battery/card compartment cover on the bottom of the camera.

6. Basic Operation
6.1. Turning the Camera On/Off
Press the ON/OFF button located on the top of the camera to power it on or off.
6.2. Taking Pictures (iAuto Mode)
The camera's Intelligent Auto (iAuto) mode automatically detects the scene and adjusts settings for optimal results.
- Ensure the camera is in iAuto mode (usually indicated on the LCD).
- Frame your shot using the LCD monitor.
- Press the shutter button halfway down to focus. The focus frame will turn green when focus is achieved.
- Press the shutter button fully down to take the picture.
6.3. Using the Zoom
Use the zoom lever around the shutter button to adjust the optical zoom.
- Push the lever towards T (Telephoto) to zoom in on distant subjects.
- Push the lever towards W (Wide) to zoom out and capture a wider area.

- In shooting mode, press the Menu button.

7.1. Cleaning the Camera
