3. Setup

3.1. Connecting the Phone

  1. Connect the Handset: Plug one end of the coiled handset cord into the port on the side of the main phone unit and the other end into the port on the handset.
  2. Connect the Telephone Line: Plug one end of the telephone line cord into the "LINE" port on the back of the phone unit and the other end into your wall telephone jack.
  3. Install Batteries (for display and memory): The phone requires 3 x LR6 AA batteries for the display backlight, alarm clock, and memory functions. Open the battery compartment on the underside of the phone, insert the batteries according to the polarity markings, and close the compartment.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Making and Receiving Calls

  • To Make a Call: Lift the handset or press the SPEAKER button. Dial the desired phone number using the large keypad.
  • To Receive a Call: When the phone rings, lift the handset or press the SPEAKER button to answer.
  • To End a Call: Place the handset back on the cradle or press the SPEAKER button again if using speakerphone.

4.2. Speakerphone Function

Press the SPEAKER button (often indicated by a speaker icon) to activate the hands-free speakerphone. Press it again to deactivate or lift the handset to switch to private conversation.

4.3. Volume Control

During a call, use the UP+ and DOWN- buttons (located near the display) to adjust the listening volume for both the handset and speakerphone.

4.4. Quick Dial / Memo Buttons (M1, M2, M3)

  • To Dial a Stored Number: Lift the handset or press SPEAKER, then press the desired quick dial button (M1, M2, or M3).
