Introduction

The TRENDnet Powerline AV200 Mini Network Single Adapter, model TPL-308E, utilizes existing electrical outlets to establish a secure, high-speed network connection. A minimum of two Powerline adapters are required to initiate a network.

Setup

1. Initial Connection: Plug one TRENDnet Powerline adapter (e.g., a router-connected adapter) into an electrical outlet near your internet router. Connect it to your router using an Ethernet cable.
2. Second Adapter Placement: Plug the TPL-308E adapter into an electrical outlet in the room where you intend to connect a device (e.g., living room for a smart TV, home office for a computer).
3. Device Connection: Connect your device (computer, smart TV, media player, game console) to the TPL-308E adapter using an Ethernet cable.
4. Automatic Connection: The adapters are designed to automatically connect to each other. For enhanced security, it is recommended to press the 'Sync' button on both adapters to automatically change default encryption keys.
5. Network Expansion: Up to four adapters can be used to extend your network to different rooms without the need for new cabling.
