3. Unpacking and Installation (Setup)
3.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove all packaging materials. Inspect the freezer for any shipping damage. Report any damage immediately to the carrier and your dealer. Do not discard packaging materials until the unit has been inspected.
3.2 Location
Place the freezer on a strong, level surface capable of supporting its weight (873 lbs empty). Ensure adequate clearance around the unit for proper ventilation. Avoid direct sunlight or proximity to heat-generating equipment.
3.3 Electrical Connection
The unit requires a 208/230V electrical circuit and is designed for field wiring (requires a 4-wire electrical circuit, hard-wired). Consult a qualified electrician for proper installation. Ensure the power supply matches the specifications on the unit's data plate.
3.4 Leveling and Casters
The freezer comes with 6-inch casters for mobility. Ensure the unit is level to allow proper door closure and drainage. Use a spirit level and adjust the casters as needed.

4. Operation
4.1 Initial Startup
After installation, allow the unit to sit for at least 2 hours before connecting to power. This allows refrigerants to settle. Plug in the unit or ensure the hard-wired connection is complete. The freezer will begin to cool.
4.2 Temperature Control
The freezer features an electronic control with a digital display. The unit is designed to hold temperatures at or near 0°F (-18°C). Refer to the separate controller manual for detailed instructions on adjusting temperature settings and other parameters.
4.3 Loading the Freezer
Load products evenly on the epoxy-coated steel wire shelves. Do not block the air circulation paths inside the freezer. The shelves are adjustable in 1/2-inch increments to accommodate various product sizes.
4.4 Automatic Defrost
This unit is equipped with an automatic defrost system. Defrost cycles occur periodically to prevent ice buildup on the evaporator coil. During defrost, the internal temperature may rise slightly, but it will return to the set point after the cycle completes.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your freezer. Always disconnect power before performing any maintenance.
5.1 Cleaning the Interior
Clean the interior regularly with a mild soap and water solution. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
5.2 Cleaning the Exterior
Wipe down the stainless steel front and gray painted sides with a soft cloth and mild detergent. For stubborn stains on stainless steel, use a non-abrasive stainless steel cleaner. Clean the glass doors with a glass cleaner.
5.3 Condenser Coil Cleaning
The condenser coil should be cleaned every 30 days or as needed. A dirty condenser coil reduces efficiency and can lead to compressor failure. Access the condenser coil by removing the front grille or access panel. Use a stiff brush or vacuum cleaner to remove dust and debris.
5.4 Door Gaskets
Inspect door gaskets regularly for tears or damage. Clean gaskets with warm water and mild soap. Replace damaged gaskets promptly to maintain proper sealing and energy efficiency.
6. Troubleshooting
Before calling for service, review the following common issues and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Freezer not cooling | No power; thermostat set too high; dirty condenser coil; door left open. | Check power supply; adjust thermostat; clean condenser; ensure doors are closed. |
| Excessive frost buildup | Door gasket leaking; frequent door openings; faulty defrost system. | Inspect/replace gaskets; minimize door openings; contact service for defrost issues. |
| Unit is noisy | Loose components; unit not level; fan motor issue. | Check for loose parts; level the unit; contact service if fan is faulty. |
| Water on floor | Clogged drain line; excessive humidity. | Clear drain line; ensure proper ventilation. |
If troubleshooting steps do not resolve the issue, contact a qualified service technician.
