- Cleaning: Clean the flashlight body with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a mild soap solution. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasives.
- Threads and O-rings: Periodically lubricate the threads and O-rings with silicone grease to ensure smooth operation and maintain waterproofing. Replace worn O-rings with the provided spares.
- Battery Storage: If the flashlight is not used for an extended period, remove the battery to prevent potential leakage and damage to the flashlight.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your ThruNite Archer 1A, please try the following steps:
- Light not turning on:
- Ensure the battery is inserted correctly with the positive (+) end towards the head.
- Check if the battery has sufficient charge. Replace or recharge if necessary.
- Ensure the tail cap is fully tightened. A loose tail cap can prevent electrical contact.
- Clean the battery contacts and threads with an alcohol swab to remove any dirt or corrosion.
- Light flickering or inconsistent output:
- Check battery charge and replace if low.
- Ensure the tail cap and head are securely tightened.
- Clean the battery contacts and threads.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, please contact ThruNite customer support.
