5. Operating Instructions

The Tescoma Universal Roll Slicer is designed for efficient and uniform slicing of soft, pliable foods.

  1. Prepare the Food: Ensure the food item you wish to slice is soft and fits within the slicer's dimensions. Examples include boiled dumplings, mozzarella logs, bananas, cooked vegetables, or soft pastry rolls.
  2. Position the Food: Carefully place the food item onto the base of the slicer, aligning it with the guides.
  3. Slice: Gently but firmly press the top part of the slicer down onto the food. The wires will pass through the food, creating uniform slices.
  4. Remove Slices: Lift the top part of the slicer. The sliced food can then be easily removed. The slicer is provided with a removable tray for waste, which can be emptied as needed.
  5. Tip for Sushi/Dough: For very soft or sticky items like sushi rolls or certain doughs, lightly moistening the cutting wires with water before slicing can help achieve cleaner cuts and prevent sticking.
