1. Product Overview

The Litter Genie Refill Bags are an integral component of the Litter Genie Cat Waste Disposal System. These multi-layer bags are engineered with odor-barrier technology to contain unpleasant smells from soiled cat litter. Each square refill cartridge is designed to last up to 2 months for one cat, providing a convenient and hygienic solution for cat owners.

2. Compatibility

Litter Genie Square Refills are specifically designed for use with Litter Genie Standard, Plus, and XL Pails. It is important to note that these refills are not compatible with the Litter Genie Easy Roll Pail or Platinum models.

3. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to install a new Litter Genie Refill Cartridge into your pail:

1. Remove Plastic Tab: Locate the plastic tab on the refill cartridge and pull it to remove the outer plastic film. This exposes the continuous bag film.

2. Pull and Tie: Pull a few inches of the plastic film through the center of the refill cartridge. Tie a secure knot at the end of the pulled film to create the bottom of the first bag.

3. Place Refill in Pail: Open the lid of your Litter Genie pail. Place the refill cartridge, with the tied bag hanging down, into the designated slot at the top of the pail.

4. Secure with Lid: Close the lid of the Litter Genie pail, ensuring the refill cartridge is securely in place. The system is now ready for use.

4. Operating Instructions

Using your Litter Genie system with the refill bags is straightforward:

1. Scoop Litter: Use a litter scoop to remove soiled litter from your cat's litter box.
2. Drop Waste: Open the top lid of the Litter Genie pail and drop the scooped waste into the opening.
3. Lock Odor: Close the top lid. Then, pull the handle on the front of the pail to drop the waste into the bag below, effectively sealing away odors. Release the handle to return it to its original position.

5. Maintenance and Refill Replacement

When the bag is full or you wish to dispose of the waste, follow these steps:

1. Open Pail: Open the bottom compartment of the Litter Genie pail.
2. Cut Bag: Locate the built-in child-safe cutter inside the pail. Pull the bag film across the cutter to sever the filled portion.

3. Tie and Dispose: Tie a secure knot at the top of the cut bag to seal the waste. Dispose of the sealed bag in your regular trash.
4. Prepare New Bag: Pull down a new section of the bag film from the refill cartridge and tie a new knot at the bottom to create the next bag. Close the bottom compartment of the pail.

• Odor Leakage: Ensure the refill bag is properly installed and the knots are tied securely. Check that the pail's lid and handle mechanism are fully closed after each use to maintain the odor seal.
• Difficulty Pulling Film: If the film is difficult to pull, ensure the plastic tab was fully removed during initial setup. Gently pull the film to avoid tearing.
• Bag Tearing: The multi-layer film is designed for durability. Avoid overfilling the bag. When cutting, ensure the film is taut against the cutter for a clean tear.
