Setup
- Unpack the Charger: Carefully remove the SBC200-US Dual Docking Charger and the PS45US Power Supply from their packaging.
- Connect Power Supply: Connect the PS45US Power Supply to the DC input jack on the rear of the SBC200-US charger. Plug the power supply into a suitable AC outlet.
- Daisy-Chain Multiple Chargers (Optional): If using multiple SBC200-US chargers, up to four units can be connected in a daisy-chain configuration using the provided power pass-through ports. This allows a single PS45US power supply to power all connected units. Ensure secure connections for stable operation.
- Placement: Place the charger on a stable, flat surface, away from excessive heat or moisture.
Operating Instructions
The SBC200-US charger is designed for straightforward operation, allowing you to charge SB900A batteries both inside and outside of their transmitters.
- Charging Batteries in Transmitters:
Insert the compatible Shure transmitter (e.g., ULXD2, QLXD2, AD2) with the SB900A battery installed into one of the charging bays. Ensure the transmitter is correctly seated and the charging contacts align. The charging indicator LEDs on the charger will illuminate to show the charging status.
- Charging Standalone Batteries:
Remove the SB900A battery from its transmitter. Insert the battery directly into one of the charging bays. Ensure the battery is oriented correctly for proper contact. The charging indicator LEDs will provide feedback on the charging status.
- Charging Indicators:
LED Status Meaning Solid Green Battery fully charged. Flashing Green Battery charging. Solid Amber Battery temperature out of range or charging error. Flashing Amber Battery fault.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the charger. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Contact Points: Periodically inspect the charging contact points on both the charger and the batteries/transmitters for any debris or corrosion. Clean gently with a cotton swab if necessary.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the charger in a cool, dry place.
