3. Laminating Cold Pouches

For cold lamination, ensure the laminator is set to the 'Cold' setting (if available, refer to the control panel for specific models). Use pressure-sensitive adhesive pouches designed for cold lamination. Insert the pouch as described for hot lamination.

4. Jam Release

In the event of a pouch jam, press the 'Release' button located on the control panel. This will disengage the rollers, allowing you to carefully pull the jammed pouch out of the machine. Once cleared, release the button and resume normal operation.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

Regularly clean the laminator rollers to prevent adhesive buildup, which can affect lamination quality. Use a specialized laminator cleaning sheet or a soft, lint-free cloth. Ensure the machine is cool and unplugged before cleaning.

2. Storage

When not in use, store the laminator in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the power cord is neatly wrapped and secured.

Troubleshooting

  • Laminator Not Heating Up: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged in and the power switch is in the 'On' position. Check if the 'Ready' light illuminates after the warm-up period. If not, try a different power outlet.
  • Pouch Jammed: Immediately press the 'Release' button to disengage the rollers. Gently pull the jammed pouch out. Ensure pouches are inserted straight and sealed edge first.
  • Poor Lamination Quality (Bubbles, Wrinkles): Ensure the laminator is fully warmed up (green light is on). Use appropriate pouch thickness (3 mil for this model). Ensure the document is centered within the pouch and the pouch is inserted straight. Consider running a cleaning sheet through the machine.
  • Laminator is Slow: The laminator operates at a speed of 13 inches per minute. Ensure you are using the correct pouch thickness.
