3. Setup

The Boogie Board Basics is designed for immediate use with minimal setup. It comes pre-installed with a Lithium Metal battery.

1. Unpack: Carefully remove the writing pad and stylus from its packaging.
2. Attach Stylus: Secure the stylus in the integrated stylus holder located at the top of the device.
3. Ready to Use: The device is now ready for writing or drawing. No charging or pairing is required.

4. Operating Instructions

Using your Boogie Board Basics is straightforward:

1. Writing/Drawing: Use the included stylus or any non-scratching object (such as a fingernail) to write or draw directly on the black LCD screen. The writing will appear in a vibrant green color.
2. Erasing: To clear the entire screen, press the circular 'erase' button located at the top of the device. The screen will instantly clear, ready for new content.

5. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the screen with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Battery Replacement: The Boogie Board Basics uses a CR2025 Lithium Metal battery. To replace, carefully remove the four small screws on the back of the device, replace the battery, and re-secure the screws.
• Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

6. Troubleshooting

• Screen Not Clearing: If the screen does not clear completely after pressing the erase button, the battery may be low or depleted. Replace the CR2025 battery as described in the Maintenance section.
• Faint Writing: If writing appears faint, ensure you are applying adequate pressure with the stylus. If the issue persists, the battery may need replacement.
• Scratches on Screen: Avoid using sharp objects on the screen, as this can cause permanent damage.
