Product Overview
This kit includes an aftermarket replacement roller brush, a clutch belt, and a specialized tool designed to assist with belt changes. These components are compatible with all Dyson DC07 models and are designed to replace original parts 902514-01 and 904174-01.

The image displays the components of the Dyson DC-07 replacement kit. On the right, a long, dark grey roller brush with blue bristles spiraling along its length. To the left of the roller brush, there are two black rubber belts: one is a circular O-ring shape, and the other is an irregular, kidney-bean-like shape, which is the clutch belt. Below these belts, a golden-colored belt change tool is shown, consisting of a main body with two prongs and a separate L-shaped hook tool.

Installation Guide
Tools Required
- Flathead screwdriver (for opening covers)
- The provided belt change tool
Replacing the Roller Brush and Clutch Belt
- Prepare the Vacuum: Unplug the vacuum cleaner. Lay the vacuum on its side to access the cleaner head.
- Remove the Soleplate: Locate the fasteners (usually screws or clips) holding the clear soleplate cover on the bottom of the cleaner head. Use a flathead screwdriver to release them and carefully remove the soleplate.
- Remove the Old Roller Brush and Belt: Once the soleplate is removed, the roller brush and the clutch belt will be visible. Carefully lift out the old roller brush. Note how the belt is positioned around the brush and the motor spindle. Remove the old belt.
- Install the New Clutch Belt: Place the new clutch belt around the motor spindle.
- Position the New Roller Brush: Align the new roller brush into its housing. The ends of the brush should fit into their respective slots.
- Attach the Belt to the Roller Brush using the Tool: Use the provided belt change tool. Hook one end of the belt onto the tool's prongs. With some force, stretch the belt over the roller brush spindle using the tool. Ensure the belt is seated correctly and evenly around both the motor spindle and the roller brush spindle.
- Verify Placement: Gently rotate the roller brush by hand to ensure the belt is properly aligned and moves freely without snagging.
- Reattach the Soleplate: Carefully place the soleplate back onto the cleaner head, ensuring all tabs and clips align. Secure it with the fasteners removed earlier.
- Test the Vacuum: Plug the vacuum back in and test its operation to ensure the roller brush spins correctly.

Operation
Once the replacement roller brush and clutch belt are correctly installed, your Dyson DC07 vacuum cleaner should resume normal operation, providing effective cleaning performance. No special operational procedures are required beyond the standard use of your vacuum cleaner.
Maintenance
Cleaning the Roller Brush
Regularly inspect the roller brush for tangled hair, threads, or debris. To clean, unplug the vacuum, remove the soleplate as described in the installation guide, and carefully remove any obstructions from the bristles. This helps maintain optimal cleaning performance and prevents strain on the motor and belt.
Inspecting the Drive Belt
Periodically check the clutch belt for signs of wear, cracking, or stretching. A worn belt can lead to reduced brush bar performance or complete failure. If any damage is observed, replace the belt promptly following the installation instructions.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Roller brush not spinning | Belt improperly installed or broken; debris tangled in brush; motor issue. | Check belt installation and condition, replace if broken. Remove any obstructions from the brush. |
