Setup and Installation
Rear-Facing Mode (5-40 lbs, 19-40 inches)
For children weighing 5-40 lbs (2.3-18 kg) and measuring 19-40 inches (48-101.6 cm). Children under 1 year of age must ride rear-facing. Your child can remain rear-facing until they outgrow the weight or height limit.

- Tighten the LATCH strap or seat belt until the car seat does not move more than one inch side-to-side or front-to-back at the belt path.
- Adjust the headrest to the appropriate height for your child.

Operating Instructions
Securing Your Child
- Place your child in the car seat.
- Bring the harness straps over your child's shoulders and buckle the crotch buckle.
- Connect the chest clip. Position the chest clip at armpit level.
- Pull the harness adjustment strap at the front of the car seat to tighten the harness until it is snug against your child's body. Ensure you cannot pinch any excess webbing at the shoulder.
Adjusting the Headrest and Harness
The headrest and harness height can be adjusted simultaneously. Squeeze the headrest adjustment bar on the back of the car seat and slide the headrest up or down to expose the appropriate harness slots for your child's shoulders. Ensure the harness straps are at or below the child's shoulders for rear-facing, and at or above the child's shoulders for forward-facing.
Cup Holder
The car seat includes a removable cup holder that clips onto the side. It can be easily attached or removed based on your preference and your child's needs.
Maintenance and Care
Cleaning the Fabric
- The seat pad and body pillows are removable for cleaning.
- Refer to the care labels on the fabric for specific washing instructions. Typically, machine wash cold on a delicate cycle and tumble dry low.
- Do not use bleach or harsh detergents.
Cleaning the Harness and Buckle
- Wipe harness straps with a damp cloth. Do not machine wash or immerse harness straps in water, as this can weaken the webbing.
- Clean the buckle by rinsing it with warm water. Do not use soaps or lubricants.
General Care
- Inspect the car seat regularly for any signs of damage, wear, or missing parts.
- Store the instruction manual in the designated storage compartment on the car seat for future reference.
Troubleshooting
Car Seat Feels Loose After Installation
- Ensure the LATCH strap or vehicle seat belt is routed correctly through the designated belt path.
- Apply firm downward pressure on the car seat while tightening the strap or belt.
- Check that the car seat does not move more than one inch at the belt path.
- For rear-facing installation, verify the recline angle using the level lines on the side of the car seat. Adjust with a rolled towel if needed.
Harness Straps Are Difficult to Adjust
- Ensure the harness straps are not twisted.
- Check for any obstructions around the harness adjustment strap or mechanism.
- If the harness is still stiff, ensure the car seat is not overtightened during installation, which can sometimes affect harness movement.
