4. Assembly Instructions

Your Dirt Devil Versa Clean vacuum requires minimal assembly. Follow these steps to set up your vacuum:

  1. Insert the Handle Tube firmly into the top opening of the Main Hand Vac Unit until it clicks into place.
  2. Attach the Floor Nozzle to the bottom opening of the Main Hand Vac Unit. Ensure it is securely fastened.
  3. Wrap the power cord around the cord hooks on the handle and main unit for neat storage.
  4. The Crevice Tool can be stored on the vacuum or kept separately for when needed.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Using as a Stick Vacuum

  1. Ensure the vacuum is fully assembled as a stick vacuum.
  2. Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.
  3. Press the ON/OFF switch located on the main unit to start the vacuum.

5.2. Converting to a Hand Vacuum

The Versa Clean easily converts for handheld cleaning:

  1. Unplug the vacuum from the power outlet.
  2. Press the release button (if present) or firmly pull the Handle Tube upwards to detach it from the Main Hand Vac Unit.
  3. Press the release button (if present) or firmly pull the Floor Nozzle downwards to detach it from the Main Hand Vac Unit.
  4. The Main Hand Vac Unit is now ready for handheld use.

5.3. Using as a Hand Vacuum and Crevice Tool

  1. With the Main Hand Vac Unit detached, plug the power cord into an outlet.
  2. Press the ON/OFF switch to activate the hand vacuum.
  3. For tight spaces, attach the Crevice Tool to the nozzle of the hand vac. This is ideal for cleaning corners, along edges, between cushions, and on shelves.
  4. Use the hand vac to clean furniture, counters, upholstery, drapes, and other elevated surfaces.
  5. When finished, press the ON/OFF switch to turn off and unplug.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

  5. Once dry, place the filter back into the dirt cup and reattach the dirt cup to the vacuum.

  • Wipe the exterior of the vacuum with a clean, damp cloth.
  • Check the floor nozzle for any tangled hair or debris and remove as necessary.
  • Store the vacuum in a cool, dry place.
