Turning On/Off

Press the footswitch to turn the tuner on or off. When the tuner is on, the display will illuminate, and your instrument's signal will be muted for silent tuning. When off, the signal passes through unaffected (true bypass).

Polyphonic Tuning Mode

Strum all open strings of your guitar or bass simultaneously. The display will show the tuning status of each string. Red LEDs indicate flat, green LEDs indicate sharp, and a central green LED indicates in-tune. The String Seeker function will automatically highlight the specific string you are adjusting when you pluck it individually.

Chromatic Tuning Mode

For precise single-string tuning, pluck one string at a time. The display will switch to chromatic mode, showing the note name and a precise meter for fine-tuning.

The Pitchblack Poly PB-03 supports various tuning modes:

  • Flat Tuning: Allows tuning down by up to 5 semitones. Refer to the manual for specific button combinations to activate this mode.
