Operating Instructions

1. Select Fabric Setting: Rotate the SmartSteam dial to the desired fabric setting (e.g., Synthetic, Nylon, Silk, Polyester, Cotton Blend, Wool, Cotton/Linen). The iron will automatically adjust the temperature and steam output.
2. Preheat: Allow the iron to preheat until the indicator light turns off, signaling that the desired temperature has been reached.
3. Ironing: Begin ironing your garments. For stubborn wrinkles, use the burst of steam or vertical steam functions as needed.
4. Burst of Steam: Press the 'Burst of Steam' button for an extra surge of steam. This is effective for heavy fabrics or tough wrinkles.
5. Vertical Steam: Hold the iron upright, about 1 inch from the fabric, and press the 'Burst of Steam' button to release steam for vertical steaming.
6. Spray Mist: Press the 'Spray Mist' button to lightly dampen fabrics for easier wrinkle removal.
7. Auto Shutoff: The iron features a 3-way auto shutoff for safety. It will turn off if left motionless on its soleplate for 30 seconds, on its side for 30 seconds, or on its heel rest for 8 minutes.

Maintenance

• Cleaning the Soleplate: To clean the soleplate, use a damp cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Do not use harsh scouring pads or metallic cleaners.

Troubleshooting

• Water leaking from soleplate: This may occur if the temperature setting is too low for steam. Increase the temperature setting. Ensure the water tank is not overfilled.
• No steam: Check if the water tank is filled. Ensure the steam setting is activated and the temperature is high enough for steam production.
