Product Overview
Front Panel

- Power Button: Turns the unit on or off.
- Select Button: Toggles between Optical and Coaxial digital inputs.

Rear Panel

Setup and Connection
- Power Connection: Connect the provided power adapter to the DC+9V input on the rear panel of the SD793-II, then plug the adapter into a wall outlet.
- Source Connection:
- For Optical input: Connect a TOSLINK optical cable from your digital audio source (e.g., TV, CD player, game console) to the Optical input on the SD793-II.
- For Coaxial input: Connect an RCA coaxial digital cable from your digital audio source to the Coaxial input on the SD793-II.
- Output Connection:
- For Headphones: Plug your headphones into the 6.35mm Phone jack on the front panel.
- For External Amplifier/Speakers: Connect RCA cables from the R OUT and L OUT jacks on the rear panel to the corresponding analog inputs on your amplifier or powered speakers.
Important Note: Ensure your digital audio source is configured to output PCM stereo audio. The SD793-II does not decode Dolby Digital or DTS signals. Outputting these formats may result in distorted sound.
Operating Instructions
- Power On/Off: Press the Power button on the front panel to turn the unit on. The power indicator LED will illuminate. Press it again to turn off the unit.
- Input Selection: Press the Select button on the front panel to switch between Optical and Coaxial inputs. The input indicator LED will change color (e.g., red for Optical, green for Coaxial) to show the active input.
- Volume Adjustment (Headphones): Rotate the Volume knob clockwise to increase headphone volume and counter-clockwise to decrease it.
- RCA Line Output: The RCA line outputs (R OUT, L OUT) provide a fixed-level analog signal and are not controlled by the front panel volume knob. Adjust volume for connected amplifiers or powered speakers using their own volume controls.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the unit. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
- Ventilation: Ensure the unit has adequate ventilation. Do not block the ventilation slots.
- Environment: Avoid exposing the unit to extreme temperatures, humidity, dust, or direct sunlight.
- Power Off: Always power off the unit and disconnect it from the power outlet before cleaning or if it will be unused for an extended period.
